Interesting discussion. The comments about generic drugs caught my attention as I worked for Squibb drug co. in years past. At the time they had a drug called Noctec, which was chloral Hydrate. Squibb was the first company to market this drug and when I worked there the generic equivalent had been out for years. The name brand sold for a dollar a pill, while the generic sold for 6 cents. The thing that was interesting is every single chloral hydrate pill in the world market was manufactured at the same squibb plant offshore. the plant was owned by squibb. In that case NO difference. However in another drug case when the hospitals got the generic antibiotics that were injected, there was a huge difference because the generics had a preservative in them that countered the action of the drug, which the name brand did not have. Made the generic not worth it even though the drug itself was equal to that in the name brand bottle. In That case there WAS a difference. It might show that you cannot make generalizations about these things with any sense of accuracy.
be good, if you can't be good -be careful, if you can't be careful- don't name it after me.
