I do an oil analysis every 2 changes, not because I am worried about oil breakdown, because oil, if it meets the API recommended baseline and is compatible with the OEM's recommendation, and you are changing on the recommended intervals, your are fine.
To me, oil is like mouthwash, different colors, different packaging but all does essentially the same thing, sweetens your breath....oil keeps your engine "sweet".
The only reason why I do spectroscopic analysis is to track what's going on inside the motor and to predict when and if I will need to make repairs (internally).
