All this to get a like button. TBN was fun while it was navigable.

Why are some of you guys panicking so hard? You'll get used to it before you know it.

Yes, there are still some bugs here and there, which are to be expected with such big changes but I'm sure it'll be corrected soon.

Hey all,

So we're going to keep working on this, but it's unlikely we'll solve the image issue tonight. We need to contact our CDN and see what's going on. It *may* resolve on its own as DNS cache change over the next 24 hours. Or maybe we have a setting wrong and we'll fix it when we find it.

Sorry about the inline images. The attachments DO seem to work, which is odd why the CDN is only picking on the inlines. But we'll figure it out.

Emails (for lost passwords) should also be going out now (they weren't earlier in the evening.)

If you can't login and you are SURE about your password, logout, clear cookies and cache, and try again. Also, if you get locked out, you need to wait 15 minutes before the failed logins clear out. So don't keep trying!

We'll get it fixed, just have a little patience. Thanks!

I appreciate all the work you put in to make TBN what it is, Muhammad. And I'm glad you started this thread to collect some feedback. Here's some from me, all about the Forum, reading it using Firefox on a Mac laptop.

As expected, we're not in Kansas anymore, Toto. Time to stumble around looking for where everything is again.

Let's try and post an image:

Hey, that worked, and you get a decent size picture instead of a thumbnail.(y)

Usta be I could click the Forums at the top of the page and get to a page that showed all the threads I'd subscribed to. I think it was called My Home. There was a list there showing any threads I'd subscribed to that had changed since my last visit. When I clicked one of those links, it took me to the first unread message That seems to be gone now, so I had to dig down to the Rural Living forum, then find the Good Morning!!! thread where I hang out. There's a new Watched drop down at the top of the page, and it lists every thread I have a subscription to. But the links on that page take me to the first page, not to the last page I've viewed. Big PITA.(n)(n)(n)

There's a list of page numbers at the top of the page, but no list of page numbers at the bottom of the page. Once you've finished reading a page, you have to scroll all the way back up to the top to get to the page numbers so you can "turn the page".(n)

Another casualty seems to be the emojis, now hidden behind the middle stacked dots symbol in the tool bar. All of our funky little TBN emojis have left the building, replaced with something that appears hijacked from Facebook. (n)

The menu on the left hand side sure wastes a lot of space.(n)

Is it just me, or is the text a little bigger, and easier to read?(y)

Inline hyperliinks seem to have survived.(y)

Seems like we used to be able to increase the size of the text window we used to write messages. Now all we get is a scroll bar.(n)

Yeah, I get that it's all new, and some of this I'll be able to get used to. And hopefully there's a way to recover some of the lost functionality.

Anyway, thanks again for all your hard work!!!

From what I just saw while playing around with the "search" function, that seems to be vastly improved.
Granted anything is better than what we had, but I actually was able to find threads on what I searched for.

Thanks for the feedback @RedNeckGeek ... I'll check into all of these, some items are settings and others we might be able to correct another way.

We might make further improvements to the search as well. That's on the list.

From my understanding, and correct me if I'm wrong, the old "My Home" Button is now the "Watched" button, which does exactly the same thing.

"Watched" now is equivalent to "Subscribed" on the old forum.

@RedNeckGeek unless it just got turned on, I have a list of pages at the bottom of the thread:

I like being able to paste in images in from the clipboard.

Yes, although it appears to have lost track of what I had read and marked all posts (even ones that were months old) as unread.
I clicked on "Mark Forums read" ( from the top menu ) to mark all posts as read and will go forward from there.

It's been less than 3 hours so will take time for people to get used to it, and I"m sure you will find a few other bugs to work out. One thing I notice; there's no way to cancel a draft instead of posting it. Perhaps I"m the only one who has writer's remorse before hitting that button?

Yes, click on the little disk icon next to the preview button and it has the option to delete the draft.

Drafts save for 24 hours and update every 60 seconds.

There is a button to Save or Delete Draft, if that's what you're looking for.

It's that little diskette button to the left of the Preview button.

seems like a nice upgrade and thanks. take a little get used to for me.

   / Welcome back #75
I liked the My Home feature because it only showed a subset of watched threads with new posts. And took me to the new post. Very efficient.

   / Welcome back #76
I am not seeing any of the pictures yet.

   / Welcome back #77
Everything looks pretty similar, but seems different...not unexpected, and I'm already getting used ti it.

Muhammad, can you share what was behind the upgrade?

Thanks.

To clarify the my home question for @downsizingnow48 and @RedNeckGeek, the post @aczlan made raised the point that your unread/read indicator on threads was reset and everything is now marked as UNREAD. You will need to mark threads and forums as read and then from that point forward the threads in watched will jump you to the first unread when you click them.

The reason the content is now under watched is because you can now watch forums as well and create a custom tailored page that includes content from a bunch of forums and only those forums. So if you typically checked 5-6 forums, this will pull the posts from those forums and make things a lot easier to view and keep track of.
