Welding Web Down?

WW's problems seem to have gotten worse. I tried to post the HF letter about donating PPE, in the HF forum. Three attempts, then one try using the advanced editor. Nothing but perpetual 'waiting'. I saw an empty box in the upper left with nothing but a Yes button, clicking that did nothing. I don't think I did anything different from my successful posts in the prior week. Bah.

Sorry, I keep forgetting your vast and superior credentials, decades of experience in so many things, and prestige earned by more than just personal charm.

So, maybe a guy I was referring to is cool with any inference I made that you then appropriated out of self reflection or whatever you post on other forums. (how many years did I say?) You didn't paint yourself, did you?

Yep, the site isn't working very well right now. That's why he is changing it back to the other style shortly.
My functions for a moderator haven't worked right since this "improved" changeover.
He said it'll all be back to normal again.

Agreed, starting with that I'm too relaxed and laid back to be rattled by total strangers most of the time.

Nice try Mr ___ (insert superlative) but so far we're both just opinions on the internet and thus equals. It's kind of like "takes one to know one", except I might care a bit less how cool I care to appear online. pinkpanther: etc)

Maybe you have an attitude that belies whatever knowledge and experience you're so secretive about. Government contractor or any of that? I'm in the phone book and not skeered of the World or anybody in it and nobody is out to get my generic butt. I can't p__ anybody off enough in person. :ashamed:

btw, you're welcome to use this if you want to prove .. well you know. I hope it's long enough, I never had/needed an 18" rule or combination set.



btw, I don't recall why or when you joined this thread. I might have only been participating since my registration couldn't be completed a day or so ago and not as long as you've been helpful herein. But please remind me of your better reason for posting so that I may also honor your ___ *(insert status, title, degree, J-Card, rune, cartouche, coat of arms, etc ..) and thanks in advance for offering the ones you do. Oh, and say hi to your pistol, ok?

Hey Muhammad - A charter (2004) member over on WW did his detective work and identified the present owners. WW seems to be a tiny and forgotten part of of a conglomerate, that last summer was peeled off and sold from an even bigger conglomerate that had paid $1.5 billion for WW's ultimate parent a few years ago.

Personally the secrecy bothers me. I don't know why it's been kept secret.

I've been trying to buy it and fix it but at this point I'd rather just start a new community. I put that on hold this week out of concern for being redundant but based on what I've read I don't know how long WW will be around, you know?

I'm thinking less and less that we need to fix WW than that a 'WBN' much like TBN* might be something we be glad we got behind.
