WHERE IS THE HOMEADE WILD BLUEBERRY PRESERVES!!!!!

Oops, I forgot to mention that packaged inside each torque arrestor, was a jar of homemade blueberry preserves. Quite a nice surprise.

I see you told me not to cut the yellow tape, but I did on one of the jars just so I could tell what type of preserves you sent me. That jar is now in the fridge. I'll take a picture of them this evening.

After seeing the preserves, I started checking all the packaging paper to see if he threw in an egg or two from his laying hens. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks for the preserves -- and for getting all of this stuff together for me.

The egg wasn't for eating, That is the patented Polecat Chicken Coop Starter kit. Put the wrapping paper in the box, put the egg on top of the paper, Shazam, Chicken Coop. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: WELL DONE!!! FER ALL TBNER\'S AND BETWEEN GATOR BOY

LETS TALK ABOUT THE TOOL LIST FIRST!

1: one pair of diagonal wire cutters..or something that'l make agood clean cut!!

2: a utility knife for cutting the sealed ends off of yer well pipe...and cutting off excess pipe..u nead a good clean square cut!!!
one note on that ..the well pipe comes 100' sealed lengths and is pressurized!!! when u cut your first end off.... be sure to listen for escaping air...this is something that i would actually do at the place where u buy the pipe!!!! with a mgr present!!!!
mark my words on this one ..if the pipe does'nt have pressure in it !!!!u have a hole somewhere!!!don't know where u r buyin yer pipe gster...but b sure to have a mgr present and i would query him if yer pipe that u r thinking of buying comes pressurized ??? if he says yes...then tell him that if the one in yer hands has pressure you'll take and then cut the end off with him there...THE SEALED ENDS ARE NOT TO KEEP STUFF OUT !!!!!! THEY ARE TO KEEP THE PRESSURE IN TO LET U KNOW IF THERE IS A PUNCTURE OR CRACK...u only have to make a small incision on the very end to let the pressure escape..if good then tape up yer little slit and then purchase!!
/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif if the pipe is not sealed and pressureized i would sincerely find somewhere else to buy it!!!

3: you will need 2 pipe wrneches for tightening your brass connections...except gster because his are already teflon taped and tightened up tight /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

4: you will need a pair of wire strippers.. a knife will work but be very careful not to nick the copper...180' is a long way to have to pull up a 40# pump back up if yer wire breaks!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

5:a pair of wire crimpers.......a VERY IMPORTANT NOTE ON THIS ONE!!!!...........not in the first pic's is a pair of vise grips!!!!!!............i not only used my professional/ high dollar crimpers...but after crimping i do a pull test...literally try to pull the spplice apart...these butt connectors are not yer normal automotive type!!! they are extra thick/heavy/strong....and all of my crimps failed the pull test...even channel locks were not strong enough to squeeze them down!!..each crimp was crimped down and then vise gripped as hard as i could to make a really strong crimp!!!!!!

6: a nut driver witha 5/16 socket...
I like to use the nut driver to snug up the clamps...the i use the 5/16 socket on a 1/4" ratchet to do the final tightening...
my well pump had been down since 1988!!!!..that was a proper installation!!!...don't tighten up clamps too much as u don't wanna breakem...but make sure they are really snugged up good...then heavily black taped up!!

7: a propane torch for softening !!! GENTLY!!!!! THE BLACK PLASTIC PIPE!!!...and melting the heat shrink for the water proof connectors....

8: vise grips
9:1/4" ratchet..w/5/16" socket...

10: a 3/8 drive ratchet with a 3/4" socket...for tightening down the nuts on the well seal after pipe and pump are all down!!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

here is the pic of all the brass assembled and teflon taped up!!!!!!! get these connections really tight...and be sure to be liberal with the teflon tape /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Re: WELL DONE!!! FER ALL TBNER\'S AND BETWEEN GATOR BOY

NOW WERE GONNA DO SPLICING 101!!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Some of the things i've learned over the years as a lineman/cableguy (splicer) fit right into this same thing perfectly!!!
first of all u want good clean wire..good clean cuts....and strong tight splices.....u also want to stagger your butt connectors to prevent chafing!!!!..especially in the environmet that this pump is going to be in!!!!this pump has so much torque that when starting up it literally will thrash around down in the well....thats why thrust boots but will elaborate on that later!!

This first pic is of the neutral wire splice completed!!! First i used my crimpers to crimp..then a pull test which it failed!!!!
thus the vise grips and squeezed and flattened it down REALLY GOOD!!!!...flatten it out really good but not so tight that u literally push the copper through the butt connector...notice that i have the heat shrink on already...these are special splices which are like automotive type but are a lot heavier duty...first step i would suggest to put on all of yer heat shrink!!! that way (and yes ive accidentally done it) u dont forget the shrink and it's easy to do!!!
your run of the mill crimpers will not do this job properly but can b used to git the splice snug!!!! then hittit with the vgrips!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
