They have a minor problem with a frilly option. Unfortunately, a replacement solution is not available to them. Disable the feature, reimburse the customer the value of the option and move onto a better design and alternate vendor. I don't see reason for the uproar.:confused2:
I'm surprised they went with a vender that was teetering on the edge of oblivion. I wouldn't want a parts supplier to vehicles I sold to be living that close to the edge.
what next? major engine component from a fly by night supplier? then just pay you 'insuracnce company' value for your car? I'd be surprised if another option to replace it wasn't available, though from a financial standpoint.. I bet it would cost them more thant he 100$ plus dealer service fee to do the duty.
I expect nothing less from GM though.. I have one... makes me think fiat wasn't so bad after all..
