that's assuming you can get just 30 gallons delivered. as a previous poster mentioned, the minimum he can get delivered is 150 gal. here iirc, the last time i checked around it was 100 gal minimum delivery.
There is a 150 Gal minimum requirment here for a special delivery.
There is no minimum requirement to top off your tank when they are already in your area.

Can I ask a couple of other questions . . .

1*What is the difference beween farm and regular (non-dyed) deisel? I didn't realize there was dye added or removed(?) for auto use. Is there any difference in performance or long term engine maintenance to either?

2*And I should ask about the filters used.
3*Is there a higher tendency for debris in diesel,
4* or is that just prudent due to collection of dirt on the outside of cans?
1*In these parts Farm ,Ag ,Fuel Oil. home heating oil off road on road, dyed and undyed are all the exact same diesel fuel.
they just put red dye in the plain ole diesel to sell it without the tax.
It is illegal to use the red dyed untaxed stuff on the high way.
2*The filters are to protect the engine not because diesel is dirtier than gasoline.
3*No diesel isn't any dirtier than gasoline.
4*No - its because diesel engines are more sensitive to debris than gasoline engines are.

I use a 15 gallon drum and a 12 volt fuel pump. The height of the fill cap and position behind the riser for the loader on my 2520 made it awkward to fill. Now as easy as filling my car.
Can you tell me a bit more about the pump?
Like what kind it is where you got it and what it cost.
I'm lookin for an elect. pump for my 30 gallon drum.

I use two methods:

1. A red plastic five gallon fuel container with built-in self venting spout (the kind of fuel containers sold at Walmart). I use a permanent ink marker and write "DIESEL" on the container so as not to confuse it with gasoline. I never spill a drop putting it into the tractor since the fill hole on the tractor is easily accessible on the back.

2. Drive the tractor two miles to the gas station and fill-er-up. The tank holds 25 to 27 gallons as I recall so driving it to the station means fewer back-n-forth refills than with the 5 gallon container method.

Either method, the only time I usually spill a drop of fuel is when removing the pump nozzle from the red container or from the tractor fill hole.

I use two 5 gallon diesel plastic jugs. Soon to add in a 30 gallon drum and pump, and of course additive. Yeah it is a little overkill, but I kinda like overkill.
I'm looking for a reasonably priced elect.pump for my 30 gallon drum.

For now, YELLOW fuel cans, one from Walmart, better one from somewhere else.

It is kinda a pain holding a full can 5.5 feet in the air to refuel, so I'm debating whether to get an on-farm tank of some sort.
I'm looking for a cheap electric pump for my 30 gallon barrell.

ClemBert -

I'm suprised that the fuel station will allow you to dispense diesel into a non-diesel container. That wouldn't fly here in MN - but I guess the station attendant would need to be paying attention.

I'd still advise getting the appropriate can - they're cheap (~$5) at WalMart.

Good Luck!
