I don't believe you can get a factory cab as a stand alone part to put on a non cabbed tractor. I think there are differences between the actual tractors. Reason I'm thinking this is on the 25 series (mine), the cab floor itself is different between the 2 models (cab vs. non cab), and the rear diff lock pedal is in a different location. I also think the frame area where the ROPS would go is also different. There may be other differences as well.

You may be able to find an aftermarket cab that can be modified and made to work, I dunno about that.

And I agree on the cab. It was one of my unyielding requirements when I was tractor shopping. Cab = Must Have.

Oh, and I pushed a little snow yesterday. Nothing special. It was single digits above zero for a change, and I actually had to turn the blower fan on my cab heater down to low, I was sweating in just regular shirt and pants...

I love my cab.

:p

It does get pretty warm in there with the heat on as high as it goes and the fan on high. Always have to keep the fan on high to keep the windows clear. It is nice having a cab clearing snow I will say! Get spoiled! My next tractor will probably be an open-station John Deere. So I won't be so spoiled then!

Pushed a little more snow yesterday morning. Now I'm really starting to get tight on where I put it. I may try to knock back some of my big piles on Saturday. May have to just scoop them out a bucket at a time, at least until I get the piles down to a more "push-able" size.

My buddy may come over with his little 1025 Deere for a "playdate", lol. He has a front blower, and wants to play around with it and put some hours on it.

GOT MY TRACTOR STUCK! I feel like this is a rite of passage for new tractor owners. I took my tractor down into my bottom land to get a friends boat I was borrowing, on the way down I realized I was in trouble for my trip back up. The roads on my property are still in rough shape due to years of neglect by previous owner. At the bottom of this road there is an oak deadfall that I have cut out to gain access. However, after being there for years there is a bunch of rotten bark that has turned into this somewhat deep slick soil. That combined with the fact that the oak chunks BARELY allow my tractor to fit through and it's off camber towards the oak trees meant as I crept back up I slid towards the oak. I ALMOST made it but the slick soil got the best of me. I went back the next day with some asphalt chunks and put a few under each tire and the tractor crawled right out of there. I guess one way to learn the limitations of our tractors is to push their limits. KIMG1509.JPGKIMG1507.JPG

Lol, funny you should mention getting stuck...

I buried mine to the frame on Saturday. Was trying to get to the back side of one of my tall snow piles, to break it up and move it. I was thinking, "I wonder if I can get through here?" Well the short answer was "nope". Haha. It was *much* deeper than I realized, and I went out on a hard layer of frozen snow that I broke through when I stopped. And that was all she wrote. Sat it right down on top of the hard crust, frame resting on the ground, and tires not reaching the ground, just spinning in the snow. Couldn't budge it with the truck in 4 Lo and 1300 lbs of sand ballast in the bed.

Had to dig it out by hand (well, shovel). Neighbor saw me as he went by and stopped and helped me dig it out (I told you guys I have great neighbors). Got it to the point you could see daylight under the frame, and dug out the tires, and walked her right up out of the hole again.

I also dropped mine off this evening after work to get some surgery done...

I will post an update, and probably start a new thread about it, tomorrow night. With pics...

Pushed a bunch of snow today. We got 9-10" of fresh, and it drifted pretty good. I had spots on my own place over 2 ft drifts. Then I went and did a co-worker's house further out of town. Their whole subdivision is unplowed, snow drifts everywhere, I was "plowing snow" with my flatbed car trailer all the way in, got my truck stuck when I went off the edge of the pavement (couldn't see the edge of the road). Plowed their 3 car driveway, and used the rear blade on my box blade to cut through 6" of rock hard ice to get to their concrete driveway. Her husband has been laid up recovering from surgery, and it looks like no one has done their driveway in months.

When I finally got done, then I got to dig my own truck out before I could load up to come home, and "plowed snow" with my trailer all the way back out again. Worked out ok I guess. Mrs Slim had dinner almost coming out of the oven when i walked in our front door.

Tractor is still sitting on the trailer tonight. I get to do it all over again tomorrow. Another co-worker, but this one's in town, so hopefully the street is plowed.
