What have you done to your Branson today?

Got my 4520C stuck for the first time last week. Wish I would've taken pics. Our back yard turned into a pond due to the rain and melting snow. Tried to plow a "waterway" for the snow to melt away from the house. Got stuck, curled myself back out, went another 5 ft and got stuck, curled myself out. Decided not to push my luck further on that trajectory and went around our septic tank. Buried it bad. Honestly felt if I hadn't slammed the bucked down to the ground I would've tipped over to my right side. Called my farmer neighbor and he came over with his 6125R John Deere to pull me out. Thank god he got me out. It was a bad day! Went to bed with approx. 2-3" of water in our basement dang it. Thank god for insurance!

As a survivor of a few basement floods, (high water table), I sympathize.

Sounds like things will turn out OK.

Respectfully, R1 or R4 tires on the tractor? Given the volume of water probably would not have made a difference?

I doubt it would have mattered.

When you find yourself in a hole, best to just stop digging.

As soggy as his ground sounds, the R1's just would have buried him faster than the R4's.

My ground is so soggy right now, I don't dare run my tractor anywhere.

R4 tires. I don't think it would've mattered. The right side sunk to the frame. It was BURIED. My father in law got two calls from his neighbors/farm friends that buried their tractors feeding their cows silage. It's MUDDY around here. All that rain in December, then all the snow melt, and then another 1.5" rain last week on top of all that....it's been miserable. WE aren't as bad off as Nebraska and western Iowa are, but it's muddy with standing water everywhere!

Well don't feel to lonely we are almost that bad, but not quite yet.
It's looks like we may even dry out a bit this week.
Almost embarrassing pulling out on the road, all the mud coming off the wheels and having to go slow till most of it's off.

Managed to get a video using the rototiller this week working on tight quarters. Hope you'll enjoy it.

Nice video. I'm not sure I would have been brave enough to put my video camera on the underside of my tractor while tilling. With my luck, a branch would have knocked it off and I would have tilled it. Haha.

What are you getting ready to plant?

I gave my 3015R a new bedroom. 18x12 shed roof off the side of my shipping container. I new I had to get it under a roof, kicked around a few ideas; metal carport, fabric garage, etc. This option only cost me about $400, way cheaper than a metal carport of this size and probably cheaper than a good fabric garage. Feel a lot better now that it is out of the elements.

Thank you! I have this monster of a magnetic base, usually used with indicator holders. I need two hands to remove that thing from wherever it sticks to. On that shot, I put it on a 1" think plate where the front bearing for the axle pivots mounts.

Not going to plant anything. Mostly to keep the weeds down. It's very very dry here and looks like it will be a very dry year. Plus, this is pretty much dirt, very poor in nutrients.

If we have had more rain, I would probably grow a pasture for our dwarf goats and chickens.

Nice video ptsg.

Thanks Lou.
