Thanks brother! It will be very helpful when using my ditch bank flail.

I made an 6" extension for my three point lever way back when I first got my tractor. Mine isn't nearly as nice as yours Pedro, but it has worked over the years and does help. My problem was in fine control of the height of the box blade when grading. With the OEM short lever it was just too hard to raise or lower the blade just a fraction of an inch instead of one or two inches. I still have to be careful as it is still touchy in that regards, but the longer lever has helped considerably.

Your adjustable stop, K5lwq is another good modification. I have considered doing that but just haven't gotten around to it yet.

I find it amazing that my 60 year old Ferguson has a 3 point lever that is very well designed, with index marks that actually work and are repeatable, and easy to use adjustable stops for both up and down. That lever is so much better designed and practical than any I have seen on any modern tractor.

On my 3725 the friction damper on the 3pt lever was way too tight, making it hard to make small movements. I've backed it off a number of times to where it's much smoother in operation. A longer lever would help too of course, and make the knob easier to reach. But the adjustment helps and it's easy to do. On my non cab model the adjuster is below the floor, reachable from the back of the tractor.

I agree with Eric. The friction comes crazy tight from factory. I had to take almost all the tension of the spring till I was happy but as Cougsfan said, it's still tricky to get the fine control. It's almost like it is inching control and not exactly position control.

One thing I may still do, is to add a lever for the 3 pt to the back of the tractor. It would help a lot when hooking implements.

Hmmm. I will have to look for a friction damper. On a cabbed tractor it is probably harder to get to. I have had the interior panels off a few times and know it isn't below those panels. Probably will have to go under the tractor and look for it, or maybe pull the right rear wheel?

I would love to have a 3 point height adjustment level accessible from the rear of the tractor. It would be especially useful on a cabbed tractor because you can't even see the 3 point arms from the side of the tractor. Hooking up an implement means walking back and forth multiple times from the rear to the side. I have thought before about somehow jury-rigging a broom stick out the back window. I am looking forward to you showing us how you do that, Pedro.

For others that may be interested in adjusting the friction on their 3 point position lever; I just looked through the service manual and put together this picture that shows what to look for. I assume you back of the double nuts (#13) and loosen the bolts (#6). Now, if I can just get to them:)

Yes, those are the nuts. It's either 12 or 13 mm wrench. Can't quite remember now but I check that out tomorrow.

I can see it being quite a chore on a cabbed tractor.

I adjusted mine, no problem to do it on a cab.

I found it. The 4720C cab must be considerably different than the 4815C. It is underneath and shouldn't be too hard to access but I will have to pull the rear wheel.
