The wife has told me that the upstairs loft, bedroom, and bath is not going to be used for anymore of my winter projects, sorry.

I have really gotten use to the warm conditions versus the unheated garage, well almost, have a propane tube heater on a HF 4 wheel cart which is handier than the wood stove since it can be rolled around the garage.

And also in the garage, the German Shepherd is always dropping his slimy Frisbee in the middle of my project every few minutes for me to throw...

Understood, shipping from PA would probably be prohibitive anyway. I am gonna at least do the backside of the chute.

I looked at my snow blower today to find the sleeve and part of the shaft worn down and this was new a couple of storms ago.
Any ideas? Doesn't appear that anything is hitting at least in the lowered position. I did run it in the up position for a while but geesh.

Mine cut itself off some time ago. Partly due to my leaving the little flip-up shaft stand up and in the way a few times, partly just wear, I guess. Almost looks like yours is a bit closer than mine...? Anyway, no biggie, IMO.

Mine also cut in two pieces just like irvingj's about 10 years ago, very first time using the snowblower, didn't know any better and ran it with the saddle in the vertical position.

All I did to fix it was to slide the two cut pieces back in position and wrapped black electrical tape around both pieces (about 30 to 50 wraps?) and I think I have only replaced the tape twice to date?

My MF Dealer dropped shipped delivered the snowblower, quick hitch, and driveshaft in my driveway and when I came home about 4 hours later, it was covered in snow.

Apparently he learned about how icy my driveway was (warned him 5 days earlier when he delivered my tractor) and my driveway is fairly level, because he slipped, and fell, and ended up on the ground looking up at the sky during the snowblower delivery.

With only 5 days experience with my first tractor I guess I was lucky to even figure out how to install and operate the snowblower on my own.

Thank you guys for you're responses. I'll not worry about it and push the mid drive out of gear when not using it.

That sleeve is a safety device and meant to free-wheel around the shaft to prevent entanglement and loss of extremities. Ensure this sleeve does not spin when the blower is engaged. From the photos it appears that is not the case except for the hole that burned through.

Yesterday, snow plowing (for the 3rd time) winter is having a hard time starting this year.

Has been warmer then normal (now 14 deg F), which is good, and the snow has been heavier with more water content.

Today I will finish my 1/8" thick UHMW snowblower chute lining project by reainstalling the chute on the snowblower, just in time for switching out the MF Dozer Blade.

Hey, since we mostly stick around here and post, I thought I would start a new thread (like others have done for different color tractors) for us to post about what we have done with our GC Tractors TODAY, or what we have done to our GC Tractors TODAY!

Or maybe it's just a weather report at your location,

Or maybe, oh well feel free to post...

Edit, 11/24/2019, Sorry to all that have a GC 2600 Series Tractor that you were not included in the thread heading, just forgot about you?
