What is the most efficient snow removal machine?

I really like using my rear blade for plowing in reverse, with one major gripe: The blade tends to ride up on hard pack snow, frequently I want to compress a snow pile and push it backward, and the instead the blade rides up. Has anyone had success in eliminating that by adding weight to their rear blade?

I added some weight via concrete blocks to my rear mounted scraper blade once. I broke one of the 3 point lift linkages .
I suppose there's a limit .

I think you need another tractor.:tractor:You can never have too much ability in the garage.

Actually, I did try another tractor once. I borrowed my neighbor's big 4300 series John Deere, with about 75 hp. and a 6 foot rear mounted blade. I still had a lot of trouble clearing 18 inches of snow , due to ice under the snow. I finished the job with my smaller Ferguson TO-35, which I had equipped with studded rear tires that had more traction on ice.

nope.. ive actually been called on to pull cars out of the ditch around the area where i live.

Snow rollers. Many thousands of them in the area.
