What kind of glue?

napa has that urethane stuff for 7$ HERE IN MY AREA.. AND YEAH.. GOOD GLUE.. GOOD SEALANT TOO.

The caulking brand is FLEXTRA

Piloon -- that brand of caulking comes from Quebec -- made by Mulco -- part of Sico coatings -- not sure you would see that in the US

you can get an equivalent though.. urethane window ahesive..e tc. possibly a 3m brand product. I may have some at ope if someone needs the number.....e tc..

3M VHB is great. You can get it in different strengths and tape thicknesses. You will find many many uses for it on other projects and repairs.

RTV silicone.

you know.. if'n it was me.. I'd squirt a half tube or clear rtv on it and stick it down.
it'l sure stay.. AND be removeable if ever needed.

I agree. I used silicone calk to put a 4" square piece of metal in the roof of our BX cab and I put a mag mount light on there for the winter.
I hit both sides with a alcohol wipe before putting down the calk and so far, so good. It has been there for a couple of years now.

I saw a special on how they made Ferarris. Believe it or not they GLUE the car together, no welding. The glues was a 3M product.
I wanted to get some and play with it and see how it worked.

industrial adhesives can be impressive. i saw a special on disc channel.. they glued 2 pieces of sheet metal togetehr.. then tried to pull them apart. the metal yeilded before the bond broke..
