boze man
I have the 72" bucket and 72" box blade. Both seem to be ok. If you come close to filling the bucket with gravel (see pile in background), the box blade is a nice counterweight. I used the back side of the box blade for backfilling around my camp - worked good. Attaching a pic of the bucket - was moving some block. Also got the bolt-on grapple. Bush hogged for 5 hours today with my older 48" - would have been nice to have a 5 or 6 footer.

SkyPup,

Just a quick question......Why do you have the teeth in the box blade backwards? Just something I noticed in the pic.

I've a 6'BB and a 6' (Woods BB72) brush cutter on a L3410 GST with R4s and a FEL. If you're just going to be grading a gravel road, or moving around dry sand, no problem. However, if you're in heavy stuff (wet dirt), and digging deep, with a full box - your tires won't hold - at least not my R-4s with 4wheel drive. A 7' box would require shallower scrapes, and a tolerance for raising in the box a bit when the going gets tough and you're about to run out of traction.
A 6' medium to light duty brush cutter is likely going to be fine, but when you're in heavy, tall weeds and brush, it'll be necessary to overlap some of your cutter onto previously cut turf, as you'll not be able to cut a full 6' without lugging your engine (and when the rpm gets below 2000, the cut quality is lousy). Note that there is not much more pto horsepower (29.5) available in the 3400-3000 series than I've got, with a GST transmission. We're not dealing with the "big boy" AG tractors here. Yup, I could work with a 7' brush cutter, but sure won't let the thick grass/weeds/brush get 3-4 feet tall before I cut such (as I do now).

Wasn't using them, and alot easier to just reverse them than to take them off and store them somewhere. Plus, if they are on forward, when I adjust the angle of the BB with the TNT, it can force them into the ground when you don't want that to happen, as in grading our limerock road without ripping it.

P.S. R4 tires are nice if you are working on a solid foundation, but out in the woods on unstable or muddy earth, Ag tires have alot more traction for pulling you out, especially when using the FEL to excavate out a hole.

Dug a hole just like you did, but with a 3130HST, and in clay. Tractor did very well for its size. How well does your TNT work?

The OEM 'Bota TNT works exceptionally well, especially for grading our 3 mile limerock road, as well as attaching and unattaching numerous implements without assistance from anyone else.

Major improvement over operating the rear implements too.
