When was TBN started?

One of the great things about TBN is that visitors to the site do not have to join in order to read postings and see the many pix posted. Indeed I read TBN for years before joining and making my first post.

I second that .... though I didn't realize just how close to the start I may have been when I first started browsing TBN as a non-member. After all these years, it seems that (when it comes to information about tractors) all roads lead to TBN rather than Rome :thumbsup:

One of the best forums on the web! I think I might be one of those original 400 but not sure. Since I've been here we've built a house on 10 acres, bought a tractor, raised 2 boys, sold the house (and tractor) and downsized to a subdivision home. It's been great, every step of the way and I've enjoyed this site more than any other that I frequent!

these stories is what i like to see and hear , esp. in these trying times. i'm glad you kept this running and still maintaining it. i still love this forum. IDEA - I think we tbn members should join forces and nominate muhammad the member of the month. we all would love to see more of his bio and his first tractor he used what drove him to start this forum. Even I as a kid at your age wouldnt think of starting a forum much less maintain one!

Following the various threads is like an encyclopedia for me. Getting other peoples ideas, troubles and opinions from all over the USA and abroad has enlightened and entertained me. It is interesting that those ideas etc come without knowing hardly anything about the personal background of the poster. Sometimes just the general location and a little bio. That sorta levels the field when reading.

And your not having any withdrawal symptoms...... Strange you started out liking tractors, now your 20 years older and the passion has faded. I'm was is just the opposite, 20, 30 years ago I could careless about tractors, now I cant function without one, if my tractor broke down today I'd have to go see a psychiatrist, maybe its some sort addiction.......

Way back, it seems like TBN had a hiccup that they mentioned at the time. I was a member at least several years before the 2003 date on my bio. Still, it didn't affect everyone since there's a lot of pre 2003 bios. And I think the thread count restarted after that hiccup for some of us.

My posts tend to be long. I guess I must not start the engine all that often, but when I do, it's generally a longer trip.

Yes but posts weren't wiped out, only subscribed threads. I think.
