Catman1, yeah I got 2 link ladders. I didn't get the V-bars on mine because I was concerned about damaging my garage floor. I probably should have went for them to get maximum traction but the regular chains are a marked improvement.

Btw, I have all of my tires filled. I didn't know that until I took one front wheel off a few weeks ago. Much heavier than I expected it to be. Guess the dealer just filled them all, I only asked for the rears though.

Yes, thanks for reminding me. By the way, I am originally from PA. Moved to Colorado in 85.

As long as the Steelers are winning, my mother makes spaghetti, meatballs, raviolis and all the good stuff. When they are losing everything stops.

This has been a very bad year for eating!!!!!

I have went with the front snow blower that Kuboto makes. This will make it easier on my wife who will have to use it when I am out of town and a local place to take of it. If it goes down, dealer with lend me one. With the chains from tirechain.com and filling only the rear R4's I hope I have good balance.

I am concerned that, with a FEL on the front or the blower on the front, I might not have enough weight in the rear direction. Do I need to do something about that, like a blade or boxblade on the 3pt for balance. A blade could wipe the snow left from the blower and give rear balance.

My only experience with this is with my Ford 535. With the FEL on the front, the rear tires are really, really light.

Any opinions?

When using the front-mounted blower, its weight is on the skids, on the ground, so counterbalance not required, just good traction and your chains should provide that ...on the other hand, if I were you and had a back blade, I would have it on, as well, probably facing backwards ...unless it were wider than the blower and unless I had some tight maneuvering required.
