In our area we had a shooting in a waffle house and I have met and even shot with the young man at was involved..
It is emotional tough on the person to shoot and to have taken a life.. But it seems that is actually the sign of a good person.. Cause criminals have no feelings in many regards...

Bad deal, black boy walking with skittles vs white neighborhood watch captain with pistol in a car. Boy gets shot and watch captain not charged. On the surface doesn't seem right....surely more to the story...or maybe not.

OTOH, just last night 8PMish in my neighborhood there was a black 20 something fellow standing under a street light for 10 minutes or so after initially observed. I got in the car, drove by and asked him what he was doing.

He was polite, well spoken, attire neat and clean and not evasive in his answer that he was waiting for his ride to come by. Therefore, I accepted his answer and drove away. It is a residential subdivision and STANDING AROUND alone is unusual while people are often observed exercising or walking their dogs.

Net, there was no illegal or suspicious behavior or attitude, certainly nothing illegal, thus I saw no reason to take any further action. Had I felt the need, I would have called 911 and maintained observation from a distance until they arrived.

And if he had been white you would have no doubt done the same. I know if you had asked me what I was doing I would have told you to kiss off.

No good can come from any confrontation; usually best to disengage and walk away armed or not if at all possibly. No one ever died from hurt feelings or a bruised ego.

If you were in my neighborhood, standing around or sitting in a car, we would call 911. We have done it many times on people we do not recognize and doing odd things. Race has nothing to do with it.
