Wife Gave Me The OK!!!

One acre? If so I think your really in the overkill mode... I have a little over 4 and my BX 24 handles it all well. FEL, MMM, and back hoe, just picked up a used tiller I am rebuilding only reason I got it was a great deal otherwise would have rented on, ditto post hole digger etc...

I would rethink the sizing, I was looking at a larger tractor and my Kubota dealer came by looked at what I wanted to do, and what needed to be done and recommended that I down size... nice honest guy could have sold me a much bigger machine.

When I was going around kicking tires, I looked at the BX and small B series for my 1 1/2 acres. I was worried that a B3030 or so was too big and and narrowed it down to the B7510 and BX24. The BX24 won and I took delivery two months ago. Haven't got much seat time with the freeze here in the northeast, but the few times I got to get a couple of hours in the seat have convinced me, it's the perfect size for my property. I never even thought of looking at the L series, and I'm notorious for going overboard. I'll agree with the majority here, go smaller, maybe use the savings for more attachments and someplace to store it. If you went with the BX or even a small B series, you'd have enough to get a nice 8.5x20 or 24 car hauler to store everything in. Or use the savings to start a garage project.
See if you can rent one or a long test at the dealer.
Good luck

Check her jewelry box. There may be an addition to it you haven't noticed.

Seriously consider a bigger backhoe bucket. A 12" bucket will hold less than 1 cubic foot of dirt or about 3-4 shovelfuls. Ask the dealer to show you the chart that shows struck and heaped capacities for all the available sizes. You will be shocked that all of them hold so little.

It's easier to ask forgiveness than beg permission. Go BIG

Wow! I believe you guy's are right. I am rethinking this purchase. Ya'll probably have saved me some bucks.

These are the projects I have to do in the immediate future.

Fence to build.
Level my yard. It's pretty uneven as a rule.
till a garden. and my neihbors.
Move stuff around with the forks. not real heavy stuff.
And any thing that comes up around here that needs a tractor.
I allready have a place to store it and implements on my property.(covered)

That's pretty much it. I like to have my own tools is why I'm getting all the attachments. I'm thinking maybe the B3030 with r4's is a little down sizing and won't tear up my yard. And I'm really not in a hurry with my projects. I retired at 55 last year so I'm still in pretty good shape for the shape I'm in. LOL.

Thanks for any and all feed back.

Well, a dealer, of all people, once told me that if most of us had to really justify a compact tractor, we wouldn't have one! :) There is some truth to that, and also a real reason to get the tractor that makes us happy. If you want a full size tractor, go for it, but the advice given here is good, and I think you would be happier with something more nimble than an L frame. Along with the B3030, you might want to check out the new B2320 -B2920 due out very soon. The styling is similar to the B3030, and they have a drive over mower deck, etc. that make them nicer for smaller properties. I think forks are useful too, and that is one downside of a BX. I don't know of a quick attach that is available for the loader frame. There is a Kubota one for the B3030, and perhaps there will be one for the new B's.
Have fun with your shopping!

I think you headed in the right direction. I did not need forks, for heavy lifting I have access to a "large L" when I need it... only used it once, because I wanted to do something quickly... Also being retired, the BX give me time away!!:D

You might want to consider a cab.
