Tractorless :(
Ok, a bit of excitement here. It's snowing... we have about 2 or 3 inches. I have a new tractor. Just learned how to put the bucket in float mode (thanks to TBN, tractor manual was no help).

Just played around trying to scrape a few snowflakes off my drive. My hands are cold. The grin factor is significant.

We don't need no stinkin' anti-depressants, we just need a tractor. :D

I can certainly identify with that. I'm too old to do the open station snow thing, but have enjoyed it in the past. We don't get enough snow here to really get tired of it.

Why were you using the FEL in that pic?
You had the 'belly blower' installed:laughing:

Hey, that's an idea. with the little bit of dry snow we have, I might be able to drop the belly mower and use it to blow snow.. LOL

I didn't have time to flip the blades as per manual.

That was actually a surprise snow, you know the 10" "flurry" predicted by our ace weather forecaster.

I have a back blade down at the barn and usually take the MMM off in the winter; it's off now.

My son used it to dig us out of about a half mile of road one year, he met our neighbor in the middle and they were about frozen. He and his family were visiting that night and couldn't make it out in a 4WD pickup.

Future snow clearing will be with my L5030 or M8540

I've pondered that for quite some time (I have a 3 point mower) if you could use it to blow snow. If so that would be cool and something to watch.

Nope, not enough air flow. It warmed up too, so the snow got wet. I also learned this morning that there is a fine line between enough bucket angle to cut into the snow and enough to start pulling gravel/grass up.

I learnt that this year too (looks like I'm seeding grass this spring, lol)

Tractor therapy you just can't beat it. :)

It snowed here in Somerset, Ky but it melted before I could get my gloves on. That's why we leave our mowers on in Ky. Rarely snows enough to use the tractor.
Last year I cleared my drive and street three or four times. Was the first time in 6 years.

A very fine line indeed and I usually wind up on one side or the other too.

Here it usually snows a lot but this year only had 3 snow falls big enough to clear the driveway with. Now I just gather all the pushed snow with the loader and move it to one area and make a hill for the kids to play on (even though I think I'm paying on the hill more than the kids, lol)
