I used ignore :)

I must say in all the time that I've participated in these forums, I have found that the posts of certain users (and you all know who I'm talking about) are seldom of any value and almost always provactive and divisive in nature and probably intent. What oftentimes start as interesting posts turns ugly and then the original topic is often lost. The posts of this user is so pervasive that it is almost impossible for one to do any kind of reading or reasearch and not come across all these quips and useless brand war provocations. In the past, I mentally ignored these worthless posts but frankly, I'm getting tired and fed up with them.

CCSIAL, thanks for the tip on the ignore feature. I often wondered how users sometimes post around certain users like their post did not exist. I now know the value of this feature and I have just inserted the first irrelevant user into that list. Hopefully, these forums are now more enjoyable.

BTW, IGNORE does not mean IGNORANT, it means IRRELEVANT.

Yes, this is an excellent feature. For those who haven't done it, here's how:

http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/profile.php?do=editlist

Put the user to ignore in the "Ignore List" and "update". When you view the message thread again, the user's posts are still there, but the contents are hidden so your blood pressure does not rise.

Heh... :)

The only question about the 2305 for your land is whether it will fit under the tree's, and a foldable ROPs will fix that. It's otherwise a rock-solid machine that will stand up well next to the 4510...

Man, thanks for the "ignore" function. I never knew it existed. After my first "ignore" blocking--and I'll bet you can't guess who it is--life just got a whole bunch better! :)

Thanks:

I will watch the prices, my checkbook and the wifes spending. Sounds like the 2305 will do the job. It's small enough that I can make a carrier and tote it around on the 3 pt behind the 4520.

Thanks again, even if the thread did come unraveled at the end.

I'm not putting Les on ignore. He's saving me the cost of a new color TV.

Hey Les, when are you going to start posting using white lettering on a white background?

Geeze what am I saying, I'll have to go get that TV!

I know the 2305 is a small John Deere tractor, but I just figured out what it would take to replace it, if the need ever arises.

1 Cub Cadet 2 Bolens 3 Kubotas

I'm sorry, that was just wrong.
I remembered something my father taught me years ago, and I want to teach it to my son.
It was a good saying "A fool and his money will soon part, because instead of buying a Deere, he bought 1 Cub Cadet 2Bolens 3 Kubotas". JC
