I am looking at a Yanmar YM2000 with a Koyker FEL and a Koyker KB60 BH. Anyone have this setup. Is this a good BH for this size tractor? Is the 3 point hitch attachment for the BH solid enough for some serious digging? Any insights much appreciated.

In order--
1. no
2. IMO there is no good backhoe for these tractors as none has a subframe
3. IMO, no.

I suspect you would break the 2000 in half.

I get the picture. What size of Yanmar (or other gray market) would be big enough? And is there a BH maker that makes frame mounts for the gray market tractors?

Thanks guys for your comments. Its really helpful to someone who is new to compact tractors.

Tom,

Have you considered a stand alone or pull behind style backhoe? Even a PTO driven backhoe does not need to be mounted to your tractor.

Tom I have sub frames for the Koyker 80 loader and the KB60 backhoe in stock that fit the YM1700, YM1900, YM2000. It is a bolt in sub frame. Have your dealer email me for info.

Well, my knowledge base has once again proven inadequate. If Buck says what he has will work, it will work.

I just wish they built a subframe kit for the John Deere 4310. You hear that Koyker. I have the KB60 and it works great. I just wish it attached easier.

Wayne, its a simple setup but I don’t advertise it so there is no way for anybody but our customers to know about it. To be honest though I have sold the 3 point KB60 on the YM2000 for years without incident. I look at the customer as the weak link and not the tractor. 5 minutes after a new customer walks through the door I can tell if the tractor will need a sub frame or not, no matter what model tractor it is :). I have a NH in the shop right now with a cracked bell housing. His backhoe was a factory sub frame mount model. Just watching this guy operate machinery will make your teeth itch. I bet he gets at least a year out of this one.
