And of course.. the easy answer is:

Don't use your farm tractor like a bulldozer by pushing on things in reverse.

surprisingly enough, that's what all that 'yellow' painted equipment is for..

IE.. use the correct tool for the job.

Of course we haven't seen LC's photos yet.
It's been five days since Brian's wife let the camera batteries run down.

Interestingly enough, Brian has posted in other threads since then, just not in this thread. IMO, it's not fair to let this accusation against NH hanging.

There's good luck and there's bad luck. Don't know about others but usually I make my own "luck".

My stepdad says that he's a lucky man, and the harder he worked the luckier he got.;)

It's probably taking him quite a while to find some 'pot metal' to take a pic of.. because i surely don't think he has any on that tractor stabilizer arm!

Simple answer; it broke; so what!, anything man made can break. Replace it and go on with life. If warranty takes care of it; you have a plus.

If I had as many problems as you with CNH equipment; I would have changed colors by now.

Uh... I got a feeling it's not the paint job that's behind all these failures!

There's so much "tapping" going on here that it sounds like a Sammy Davis Jr. impersonator contest.

Here's a couple of photos of both my stabilizers. They are the slickest stabilizers I've ever had on a tractor. After fighting and destroying several of the old style fixed stabilizers and the turnbuckle type over many years, these are easily my favorite.

Are they cast iron? No, not at all. Can they be damaged? Yes! Are they stronger than a similar sized Massey Ferguson? Don't know...maybe not. Do I love this design? You betcha'!:)

jinman, those stabilizers are scarily similar to the ones on my Massey 1533. Did you make a knock-off?:) If you did, I like the chain on the pins. Mine just has the pin and a cotter pin in the bottom of it and I'm a pin-slanging fool. I haven't bent any arms, but I have broken and bent some pins. Seems to me there'd be something to give before the arm would break. Got to go, I'm all tapped out.
