Your towing rigs and trailers

Just picked this up. 6x12 12K

Looked at used but they were beat or more $ than I wanted to pay. On the way back from looking at a used dump I noticed a dealer that had two. So I stopped in and talked. They had a new dump sized right but a bit overkill as I was looking for 10k.

Made an offer and it was accepted! :cool2:

Very Nice!

I known I'm not in the serious towing group like most of you, but I finally upgraded to a new F150 Lariat (3.5 Ecoboost, tow package with brake controller and backup assist, 10 speed auto). I've been towing with a Dakota (background in first picture) and I think it's glad to be retired from tow duty. With about 2500 miles (only about 200 towing) I'm really happy with the truck. The only negatives are the computer calculated mileage (over 1/2 mpg optimistic) and I have to get on a stepladder to clean the windshield (it's really big and tall). It's early but actual mileage so far seems to be around 18 driving around town, 20 to 21 at 75+ on the highway and probably in the 14-15 range towing. The trailer backup assist is interesting. It does work (except it loses the optical target on the trailer sometimes when you go from sun to shade), but I can backup quicker and smoother without it. I suppose it's good for people who haven't been backing trailers for 50 years. The trailer is my ancient equipment trailer that got de-rusted, re-floored and Rustoleumed over the winter. Looks better now as long as you don't get too close.

Not the best picture but it's all I have so far. Sold the 07 ram 2500 for a 17 3500. Only 700 miles on it so far with about 100 of that hooked to the trailer. The 07 towed the trailer very well but this 17 is fantastic.

Thanks, my last truck had a decent amount of chrome so changed it up with this one, I'm happy with how it looks.
