The trailer weights 7,000 pounds and has 12k axles. There was nothing wrong with the PJ trailer. I use a trailer daily with my rental business and wanted the extra weight capacity for safety and to be able to carry 2 excavators at the same time.

Nice setup. Good idea on the wood deck so you aren't inclined to have to protect the deck each time you set a blade or bucket down. I had an aluminum deck once and I was always stressing about messing it up.

Did you go with the electric over hydraulic disc brakes? I went that route with my new Diamond C with 12K axles and it sure stops nicer than the normal electric brakes.

I went with electric over hydraulic. Can lock up all 8 tires with power setting above 6. Had to rewire the tow vehicle to get a 10 gague wire back to the actuator.
