Numerous Breakdowns

I bought my Kioti in the fall of 2009. At 100 hours, the hydraulic pump failed and at 160 hours the front diff broke. Both were covered by warranty. At 200 hours, the transmission cooler split open. That was $187 out of pocket. The alternator failed at 210 hours. That was $300 and happened once again at 300 hours. Now the hydraulic pump has failed again and took out the fuel cam with it at 350 hours. I am now looking at an estimated repair of close to $1,500. This will make a total of nearly $2300 out of my pocket since 2012. This tractor is garage kept and well maintained. I would not recommend a Kioti product. I am hoping for some type of support from Kioti since the warranty has expired!

A Real Little Workhorse!

I have bigger tractors than the CK20 but this thing has done everything I've asked of it, and with zero problems! I consider it a real Power Brute, in spite of it's size.

Pros: Very versatile, extremely reliable, and the ergonomics are well-thought out
Cons: I wish that Kioti had used steel grease zerks (in an SAE configuration instead of an obscure British thread) instead of brass, a mid-range in the transmission would be useful as it would a separate hydraulic pump for the steering

Broken Cam Shaft

The dealer called to check on the shipment. Kioti said they hadn't shipped it yet. It's been 1 1/2 weeks. I called the Kioti parts department and the person was busy and said they would call me back.

Breakdowns

In the last 2 months, the fuel injector pump went ($951) and the cam shaft went ($1800). Kioti says sorry but the warranty is up. I've heard that once the warranty is up everyone has problems. The dealer told me they have had very few fuel injector problems and now he says he has had the cam shaft problem only once before, out of a thousand tractors he has sold.

Pros: Good little tractor
Cons: Costs too much in repairs

Owner of a ck20hst wich i purchased new with back hoe ,mower and snow blower.Was a great unit until i blew 3 hydraulic pumps 1n 100hrs,kioti cam good for it but was frustating.Now with 460 hrs on it trouble free i must say it an amazing unit.But made the mistake of trying new ck2510hst wich should be delivered sat lol..

Great Little Tractor

After 8 years of use, no issues, and no complaints, this is one tough little tractor. Regular service is all I’ve had to do in 8 years of ownership. I regularly mow 2 acres of grass, and snow blow 500ft plus of driveway. This was my first Kioti, but not the last, I will buy another Kioti for sure.

Kioti CK20S HST

Bought my new Kioti tractor last august. It is a great tractor for its size with plenty of power and reliability. Only mechanical issue I had so far was a leaky o-ring on the hydraulics which was fixed immediately under warranty. Pushed all kinds of snow last winter with the bucket with no problems. Bought a new Woods equipment Brushbull rotary cutter this summer which has worked great. Now looking for a tiller.

Pros: Reliability,dependability.
Cons: None so far.

New Kioti CK20S HST

My 8N died and I decided it was time to upgrade. In my budget, the Kioti seemed like the most tractor for the money. While the dealer was the farthest away from those under consideration (LS, Deere, New Holland), I really liked him. My first task for the tractor was back filling a pool and grading for turf. It moved 34 yards of dirt and graded like a champ...and then I realized that there was a serious leak in the transmission. So after 7 hours of use....it was dead lined. The dealer promised to make it right...and he did. He hauled it off, split it, isolated the leak to an o-ring, repaired it, and cleaned it up good as new. I admit that my confidence in Kioti is degraded. My profession is in engineering (development, testing, production, and quality). Production and QC controls should have prevented a situation like mine. That issue aside, it's a great little tractor. Yeah...it could use a medium range in the tranny and the diff lock pedal sucks, but I actually prefer the controls and operation to the other tractors that I've used (Ford, Kubota, and Cub Cadet/Yanmar).

Pros: Big tractor in a little package.
Cons: Unknown reliability. Diff lock pedal is too small to use (too close to the 2WD/4WD selector).

Strong Performer for 3 Acre Homeowners

I have owned my Kioti CK20 HST for a little over five years and just turned over 100 hours. We use our tractor for general yard, landscaping, and driveway maintenance. We mow with it sparingly for mowing as our Hustler 60" Super Z completes the job much more quickly. I purchased the tractor after moving to our new home in 2008 after calculating that we had moved 48-ton of landscaping stone by hand and wheelbarrow at our previous home. My carpal tunnel couldn't take much more of that kind of exercise. The loader is used considerably and I'm not sure how we could do without it. The tractor just fits (with approx 1/4" to spare)inside of our seven foot garage door with the ROPs in the upward position. I use a back blade to clear snow and a box blade maintain our 200' stone driveway. I may eventually trade up for a DK tractor for a larger front bucket...I won't do that until I have a detached garage or pole barn. A backhoe would have come in handy and may also consider that purchase..

Pros: I definitely love the HST.
Cons: Small loader bucket...limited capacity.

Great Tractor for the Money

Since I've gotten this machine I've graded roads, expanded my yard, tilled gardens, and chipped up trees. I also pull a 60-inch box blade, and during the winter plow with a 60-inch strait blade. All without issue. The only reason that I put 3 stars on features is that it doesn't have some of the extra lights and electronic PTO functions of the high dollar machines. The machine has been great, it has done everything I asked and more. I have and will continue to recommend this machine to anyone who asks.

Pros: Heavy strong machine, simple to use.
Cons: None of the fancy stuff like the big buck tractors.

CK20S HST Does It All

The tractor was purchased new in 2011 and now has about 140 hours of use. I originally intended to buy a Kubota sub-compact but the trade value for my old clumsy Ford 1220 was much better form the Kioti dealer. Primary uses are mowing 2.5 acres and snow removal, but we have done several other "jobs". I located a slightly used 60" Kioti mid-mower and am quite pleased with it. Also have a loader, 54" rear finish mower, 60" rake and 60" rear blade. This tractor has done everything that I've needed to do with no problems. Although at some point I would like to add a front snow plow. It is large enough that I can run the 60" deck and small enough that I was able to eliminate my Simplicity lawn tractor.

Pros: Size, maneuverability, visibility.
Cons: Awkward folding rollbar has to be removed for mowing around trees.

I bought this tractor used. The previous owner wanted a bigger tractor. The tractor has a FEL. The dealer who sold me this tractor rents implements. I have rented a 5 foot tiller to till the 1 acre garden at my church. It does a beautiful job with ease and the soil is ready for planting. The people who see the tractor work and the soil are amazed. I also use the tractor for work around my property. I use the FEL to move snow and earth. I welded chain hooks to the bucket and use it to lift heavy objects. I use it in many ways that lets me work smarter not harder.

Pros: Good power, low cost for maintenance parts, great features.
Cons: Needed to add weight for better traction.

What can I say it is a good little tractor. Am pleasantly surprised at its ability to handle chores and task I do with it. Bought used so not sure how it was new, but is a good little tractor thus far.

Pros: Pleasure to operate.
Cons: FEL developed a crack a known problem in the 2004 year models.

CK20HST Used Tractor

Bought the tractor used with mid-mounted mower. For its size, the tractor has quite a bit of power and with its heavy weight, I use it also for moving trailers. I would give it 5 stars for reliability except for the extremely common sticky hydro-stat pedal. Even after lubing it up and trying to keep it lubed up, the pedal still sticks sometimes. Annoying yes, dangerous, possibly, unless you actually follow safe operation procedures by not leaving it in gear with brake set. Simple operation with the hydro-stat transmission, my boys drive it all the time for me when we are doing yard work, construction, mowing, moving big construction trailers, boats/trailers, dump trailers, splitting logs, digging with box blade,etc.

Pros: Powerful.
Cons: Sticky HST pedal.

My Kioti
Model Year: 2008

Owned for 5 years and continue to be amazed by this machine. Prior to acquiring this unit I owned a smaller Bolens and thought it was impressive...not! I work my Kioti very hard mowing several acres of grass during the summer and plowing hundreds of feet of driveway all winter. Also do some excavating with a box blade and material handling with the bucket. This tractor has been excellent for building trails throughout the 30+ acres of my rugged property.

Pros: Ease of handling, stands up well to hard use, amazingly strong for its size.
Cons: Paint quality could be better, attention to detail in assembly could be improved.

C20HST: Used to Muscle Up Jobs Past My Own Limitations.

The tractor, loader, backhoe are well matched. Durability is good and capability very good. As a home owner for a large group of adults all past our prime, the machine is the muscle we need for construction and renovation on a new place with vintage buildings and infrustructure. I have drive Kubota and John Deere machines of like size and power, the JD is smoother but slower in manipulation and movement. Kubota has a better transmission and speed but qwerky controls and rougher overall implement output (not so smooth) for the same horsepower, except for tranny. Kubota and JD both cost much more, but parts are easier to come by. Little things: Kubota does a good job of protecting small parts and zerks, Kioti not no much. The front loader and backhoe buckets and sticks from Kioti are more healthy and last longer than the others.

Pros: Strength in the bones of the machine. Smooth hyd. controls.
Cons: Foot print-center of gravity is high. Zerks get rubbed off.

Ck 20 HTS

After looking at all the compact tractors, I chose a Kioti CK20 HST, with FEL and BH. Dollar for dollar, it is the deal here in Nova Scotia. Also my Kioti dealer is local to me, which means easy parts and service. Every time I use my CK20 I'm impressed how much power it has. Just takes a little extra time.

Pros: Dealer was great to work with.
Cons: No-mid mount mower.

I had a Massey 65 that I was using for brush cutting and mowing. Workhorse but leaking every fluid that it had, and I didn't have the time or knowledge to fix it up. Was going to get a John Deere or Kubota in the 20 to 30 hp range, when posts on this forum suggested look at Kioti too. Went to the nearest dealer and was impressed with the tractor and him. Bought the CK 20 HST and have been very happy so far. No problems at all. Most of my time is spent mowing and I do notice the top speed in low gear is a little slow. No other complaints.

Pros: Reliable workhorse.
Cons: Could do with a slightly faster top end in low gear.
