POWERSTART475 New Holland
Purchased Used 2012 Tier 3 NHew Holland T4.75 With 1,000 Hours
Model Year: 2012

This tractor was a trade in from a local farmer. It was well maintained and only needed a washer fluid reservoir. The dealer serviced the unit including cabin filters. So far I've used it approximately 50 hours. No issues to date. The five stars that I rated the unit are only based on 50 hours of usage. I would think that overall if any issues were present they would have presented themselves.

Pros: Great cab and air ride seat, very comfortable, really like the rear external three-point lift control, easy to hook up implements, front-end loader very strong
Cons: Radio could be bette

POWERSTART475 New Holland
Not A Good Machine
Model Year: 2017

I bought this unit brand new, it had 8 hours on it when we took it off the trailer, and most of that was idle time so that the diesel would not gel (not a New Holland problem at all, it was just cold). It was dark when we unloaded, backed off and pushed into a corn silage pile, and heard a big metal snapping sound. Come to find out, New Holland or the dealer forgot to put the catch pin on the right side of the loader mount, and the whole thing kicked to the left, bent the mounting bracket, and the whole 9 yards. We will see if they will do good for it, but in the meantime while we wait for people to look at it and what not, we are still down a loader tractor. The one thing I do feel is these units are way too light. Every other tractor I own is a John Deere and the rest will be too.

Pros: None
Cons: Poor quality department

POWERSTART475 New Holland
Junk! Buyer Beware
Model Year: 2015

There are very serious build quality issues with this tractor. I ultimately ended up trading in my 2015 with only 3 months left on the warranty, because there were so many issues with it. I now have a 2017 T4.75 and I'm praying they worked out these issues, but unfortunately, I know of other owners who are having issues with their 2016 and 2017 T4 tractors. Leaks galore (< 200 hours), clutch engagement failures, shuttle shift failures, shift cable alignment issues, hydraulic washers not made to spec, overheating, and low hydraulic pressure to name only a few I've encountered. If you don't believe me, look how many of them are for sale on TractorData. There are more T4.75s for sale than any other New Holland model, and some are really cheap!!! Wonder why? I don't.

Pros: None
Cons: A very expensive paperweight that has almost no resale value

Very Nice Tractor
Model Year: 2017

In 5 months I have put 300 hours on this tractor. I have a brush hogging business and pull a 12-inch flexwing cutter with it. I absolutely love the tractor. It had one issue where I would get a code and reduced power. This was happening in the middle of the summer when it was run hard in 100 degree plus temps. The dealer said I needed a fuel cooler. They sent a service truck to the field, installed the cooler, and I have had no more issues. All was covered by warranty and cost me nothing. I had it widened out, as well as the rear tires fluid filled. I cut on really steep embankments with no issue. I would buy another one tomorrow.

Pros: Comfort, cost, dependability
Cons: Needed fuel cooler, was taken care of by warranty though

Don't Buy It
Model Year: 2015

This is the first new tractor I have bought, and I was looking forward to having a decent, trouble free tractor. Boy was I surprised. This is the open station model. First, the display went with only 5 hours on it. Then the seat sensor went, and so far we have replaced it 4 times, with no real fix for it as long as it gets wet. The display turns black and unreadable in direct sunlight, and guess what? There is no fix. The transmission will lock up, and then you have to unlock it. Again, there is no fix. The parking gear is a pain. Roll it forward or backward to get it into gear, and then fight with it to get it out. The controls for the loader stick, and are hard to use. The loader cycles really slow. It seems to lack power or is so choked out by the emissions add-ons that it isn't able to do what a tractor of this horsepower should be able to do. The only thing I can say that is good about it is the ride.

Pros: It rides nice
Cons: Everything else

POWERSTART475 New Holland
Maybe Not
Model Year: 2015

It has had shifting issues with linkage pins as well as a bad oil leak on the transmission with a seal missing from the factory. It has labor intensive oil changes on the engine due to the filter location with front-end loader framing. It also has grounding issues with the 12-volt system. There is probably more to come.

Pros: Grand kids like it
Cons: Reliability

Powerstar, Excellent Value
Model Year: 2016

At this price point, I feel it is the best buy in the market. It is very reliable and the best cab in the industry. No one else comes even close. Step up and get all the options. They are very good value and worth more at purchase than a retrofit.

Pros: Value
Cons: None

POWERSTART475 New Holland
2014 New Holland T4.75
Model Year: 2014

I bought this tractor after doing a bunch of homework and thinking this tractor would run forever. Boy was I wrong. I had a cable brake the first day I got the machine. The dealer had a new cable in the machine a couple days later. The next issue was the power steering had an o-ring that didn't seat right and had hydraulic oil going all over the ground at 16 hours. The list goes on with other things that have gone wrong. I would not recommending that anyone buy this product and look at something else.

Pros: None
Cons: Always getting fixed.

T4.75
Model Year: 2015

The tractor is everything I expected and then some I never expected to drive a tractor all day long on the hills of West Virginia and feel as comfortable as I do

Pros: Everything from the location of all the controls to the amazing power it surprises you with
Cons: The loader is built so heavy that it interferes with visibility a little

Don't Waste Your Money
Model Year: 2015

This tractor is a constant problem. First, there was a hydraulic leak with baling hay fluid pouring out every time the tailgate closed. The dealer fixed it. A couple months later, there was the same problem again. The power take-off would not shut off. That's happened twice. The dealer fixed it. The window about fell out. The dealer gave me parts to fix. Then out away from home it wouldn't start. The only good thing is we have a good dealer that has fixed the problems. Still wish I had my money back. I did not expect to buy a new tractor and put cardboard under it to make sure it's not leaking. I'm trading it as soon as the warranty is up! I never thought I would say this. New Holland has built a lemon.

Pros: Cab design
Cons: Not reliable

POWERSTART475 New Holland
Best Bang For Your Buck
Model Year: 2016

Repairs to date under warranty: Hydraulic leak @ filter housing (10 hours). Ended up being a hairline crack in the cast housing, dealer sent field mechanic 44 miles with new housing, they said they have seen it before on the same model. Loader would not lift (45 hours). Loader control cable was supposed to be double nutted from the factory and wasn't, nut backed off and cable failed. Dealer sent a mechanic with a new cable and hardware. No issues since (I do not have the self leveling loader). Slow hydraulic leak next to draft control connection above rear axle housing (ended up being a o-ring not properly installed from factory, they fixed this when they fixed to loader cable). Lost AC/battery light on while cutting field (180 hours). Belt was shredded, not sure if I hit something or what? I called the dealer to see if it was covered, they said they would need to look at it and see. They sent a mechanic with a new belt and did not charge me. All is good now. My air seat leaks down really slow but I haven't called that in. I use this machine probably harder than most because I am so used to running construction equipment and pushing everything I own to the limits. By no means do I baby it. I cut and bale hay, mow with a 8-foot shredder, lift more than I should often, disc, grade, plow, and do everything in between. I would buy the same machine again but I would probably add the E power take-off. Has anyone used this much? Does it make a difference in fuel economy? (I would assume it does). Anyways it has been a good machine so far and I was skeptical about the tier 4 but I haven't had one issue with that. My dealer is awesome and very responsive and that has a lot to do with buying a machine.

Pros: Design for cleaning radiator and access under hood
Cons: Controls seem cheap

T475 In The Shop Again
Model Year: 2015

This tractor is by far the worst purchase I have ever made. New Holland has no interest in trying to fix the issues with my tractor. I am recommending that no one buy this model tractor.

Pros: None
Cons: Too many issues to list

POWERSTART475 New Holland
Not Reliable
Model Year: 2013

Very unreliable. I was in the shop 3 times under warranty, and in the shop 3 times after the warranty expired. It has had a hydraulic oil leak, the 4-wheel drive shaft stripped out, the air conditioning switch broken twice, and the power take-off would not shift out of gear because of a short in the wiring harness. I would not in good conscience recommend this tractor.

Pros: Nice cab, air conditioning great when working, excellent turning radius
Cons: Always something going wrong or breaking, this tractor has been only used to mow, move hay, and spray

Biggest Piece Of Junk
Model Year: 2015

Do not buy this tractor. It is the biggest piece of junk. I should have bought from a different manufacturer. I started losing power after a few hours of shredding. I called the dealer and I was told to change the fuel filters. It had 100 hours at that point. I changed the filters and took it back out to the pasture and had the same problem. I took it in to the dealer and they said they could not find anything wrong with it. They flashed the computer. I put it back out to work. It ran for 2.5 hours and then lost power again. I took it back to the dealer and they said it was a fuel gauge problem. Yeah right. They put a fuel gauge in it still is not working. After three months of problems, in and out of the shop, they have figured it out. The fuel is getting hot. New Holland has said to put a fuel cooler on it from a New Holland backhoe. Well, that's all fine, but they are on back order. I was told it would take 2 to 3 hours to install. Well, the part arrived 2 weeks later but with no instructions. It is also missing fuel lines and other parts. So, I have to wait another week. Enough of my story. Just be warned.

Pros: None
Cons: Junk

Too Many Problems
Model Year: 2015

We have only had this tractor for eleven months and it has been to the dealer three times. A short time after delivery last year, the hydraulic hose came off and blew oil all over the tractor. The second time it would not go into park and the water in fuel alert came on and would not go off after we checked and found none. Now, it is giving all kinds of alerts, leaking oil and minor problems such as back window hinge coming off and windshield sprayer not working. Those are things we know about! I don't trust it to give good service in the future. We should not be having all these problems at this point. We are hoping to trade it in for a Kubota. We have an old Kubota that has been to the shop one time in 19 years with a gas line plug. It is still running like a champ. We just needed a larger tractor with a cab. Very disappointed.

Pros: Nice features, good ride
Cons: Too many problems, not reliable, hard to check fluid levels or add fluids, changing oil will be a nightmare

Not a good start
Model Year: 2015

We had the mechanic at my place and now the tractor is back at the dealer with 3-point hitch issues and a key switch problem. This has already had more repair work done than my 7 year old Kubota had.

Pros: None yet
Cons: Park gea

T-4.75
Model Year: 2014

So far it has been a great tractor. I did a lot of research before buying it and did not want to overbuy for what I was needing. It's the first cab tractor I have owned and I love it. It has handled everything I need to do on my place. I have a 15-foot Woods Bat Wing and it works great. I am getting ready to purchase Hay Equipment and it will run a small round baler which is what people around me want. I bale 30 acres so it's working well.

Pros: Cab
Cons: None

Not Pleased At All With New Holland
Model Year: 2015

The tractor has been in the shop for repair four times for hydraulic leak at the same location on the tractor, and two times for power loss after mowing about 2 hours and over heating. It has been at a dealer for repair for approximately 7 weeks altogether this year and is there now. I doubt it will be fixed this time either but we will see shortly. It would be wise to buy another brand.

Pros: Looks good and is comfortable
Cons: Too many problems for a new tracto

I love the features, operation and performance of the tractor. It is easy to use, quiet and fuel efficient. So far I have nothing negative to say, very happy with it.

Pros: Quite cab, excellent visibility, good control location, just all around easy to operate
Cons: Really don't have any complaints.

POWERSTART475 New Holland
Nice Tractor
Model Year: 2015

After much soul searching and shopping for over a year, I decided on the Powerstar. This tractor had everything I was looking for in a tractor and the price was right. It came with a self leveling loader, 12x12 transmission, power shuttle, outside lift arm control, bale spear, set of forks, 84" bucket, electric 4 wheel drive, and a vision view cab with deluxe air ride seat. I liked the controls setup, cab design, color, the ease of steering, shifting, and really just everything about the tractor. I originally did not want a tractor this large, but after looking at 60 horse power tractors on the compact tractor frame, I decided to take a look at the next step up and I'm so glad I did. I bought this tractor for $8 to 10,000 less than the compact I nearly bought and it is a much more comfortable, capable, and easier to use tractor.

Pros: Quiet, fuel efficient, comfortable, hydraulic brakes, great visibility, easy to operate
Cons: The only thing I can nitpick is you have to shift slowly on the main or the gears will grind.
