Got an inch and a half last night. It's been mud and more mud her for about two months now. It's too cold for the clay to dry out, and driving over it just creates a mess if you don't get stuck, if you get stuck, it's a nightmare.

I took Jim's advice while it was drizzling today and went to walmart. I bought new sheets and a comforter, a new clock and night light. It's not much, but it will make going to bed different and I won't smell her on the sheets. Making it fresh and new!!!

Then I went to Office Max, Office Depot and Best Buy to look at a new computer. I've had Dell for well over ten years, and I don't want Dell anymore. I was looking around, and reading the magazines on the better rated computers. Heck, Dell wasn't even on any of the lists. I don't know what happened there, but I guess I'm not the only one fed up with them and their lack of customer support.

I remember when Gateway was doing good, then fell apart, and now from what I read in the magazines, doing good again. I looked at HP, Compaq, Asus, Emachines and a few others, but kept coming back to the Gateway.

The machine that I'm on now is Steph's. I bought her a laptop and then took over her desktop. I figure it's mine if I want it, but I don't want it, so I'll transfer what I want from the computers and then format the hard drive before giving it to her.

By the time I was done shopping, the rain had stopped, so I went to the job I'm working on and put in a few hours there. All in all, it was a pretty good day.

I hope it's not that pavillion. That would add salt to a wound.

Thank you to the moderators for allowing this thread to continue. I know that I've added to your workload with this thread with all that you do to keep it clean. It means allot to me to be able to read everyones comments and their words of support. Feeling alone and being lonely is something that I'm not used to, and not handling very well. I know it will pass, but until then, I really look forward to the advice and encuragement that I've received here. I can't imagine a better group of people then here on TBN.

Thank you,
Eddie

Eddie look for a scout troop near you.
You would be a valuable asset to a troop.
The look on a scouts face when he is having fun and learning some he never would have access to do is amazing.

I bought a Gateway lap top last year. I call it The Cow......from Gateways black and white cow print symbol.
People have asked me why I didn't dig all my stumps up all at once. I told them I didn't feel like it. When I get real low and need tractor therapy............I dig up stumps. I dug up two big ones yesterday, while waiting on the check (sold my parents house) to clear the bank! Knocking over trees would be about the same thing!

I like my Asus laptop computer, and Dell desktop..

Eddie, I have to say I am very happy with my new Dell Inspiron with Ubuntu Linux factory pre-installed. I got it with the biggest battery (nearly 7 hour life) and it is a relief after owning windows with all the virus problems, malware and spy software from Microsoft and everyone else. It only cost about $700. I may need to add a windows partition at some time for development software, but for the moment I am very happy.

Hey Eddie,

Even my wife is shocked and sincerely hopes that you'll stay busy and feel better soon. We are sure that the kids will be the toughest thing to get over. The other tough thing that can happen, (happened to me) is that she'll come crying to get back into your life. (Didn't let mine come back.) Obviously I didn't read the original post and this is all conjecture based on what I've gleaned from the thread. Maybe a family member can bring the kids over if you want to spend time with them. Your call on whether or not it will help you or them. She might not want to give you an opportunity to talk to them without her there. If she does let you take them, don't bash her. Just love on them.

Jinman is right, get out and do stuff. Another poster mentioned the Library and I agree. Libraries are virtually free and are chock full of great stuff from magazines and books to newspapers and who knows what. Great place to explore and learn.

Stay busy my friend.
