You might consider a coolant filter also. I have one and change it annually. This is meant for late model (post '50's) pressurized high velocity cooling systems. They are standard equipment on most all larger machinery.

Thanks Bob, that's a good idea.

Hi Bob,
Very interesting coolant filter.
Not meaning to deviate from the thread, but could post a little more about it, the benefits and what type of filter, please.
Thanks,
Rob-

Hi Rob,
Coolant filtration has been around for a long time in the marine industry, but i's only been in the last forty years or so that the benefits have been realized in the medium and heavy trucks, train engines, and in construction machinery as well. I don't want to hijack the thread, so I'll take some pictures tonight and start a new thread tomorrow. Thanks for the intrest. Meanwhile, just Google "coolant filtration".

I get white smoke when first turning over. That lets me know that I still need to warm up the plugs or wd40 the sucker. I have also noticed that when she sits I can get water down the exhaust that can stay for weeks after a rain. That kicks out white. But I did not know about the grey. Will keep that in mind!! Love the Corsair. I could sit and look at a P51 all day but if there was a Corsair the ground crew would have to chase a naked guy out of the area.

The FarmPro exhaust elbow should have a drain hole on the underside. Sounds like yours is obstructed. And in case you didn't know it, there should be one on the underside of the bell housing too. Around here, danged mud daubers clog up everything !!

Um, most folks have a flapper on the exhaust stack, or just cover it with a juice can. Saves a lot of worry about getting water in the cylinders.
Why not?
And if the truth be known, WD-40 is a lot less volatile than atomized diesel. Why?

The exhaust 90's on the Jinmas with the ,Y380,Y385,LL380,KM385,TY395 Do not have drain holes in the exhaust elbows.
That's another somewhat broad brush declaration. If I recall, you've mentioned in the past not entering the Chinese tractor business until 2003. My '99 and '00 TK254s had pre-1998 Y385s (EPA Tier-1 exempted engine). Both had drain holes in the exhaust elbow, and in the bellhousing. At the time, there were owner-complaints of rust at the exhaust location. Owners became concerned that acidic drainage would eventually enlarge the hole, to the point where it would be more exhaust leak than moisture drain.

So clearly at some point YangDong (or Jinma, or the importer) changed elbows. As such, it's either the age of the FarmPro 2425 addressed - or Homier's build spec - that should determine whether or not it's got the specified exhaust elbow drain hole.

My 03 does not have a drain hole either. Now for the WD 40 you are really taking chances using ether or WD 40. If its not starting properly get it fixed. I have seen what starting fluids can do.
