Congrats on your order. Took two months to get mine as well.

Just a suggestion, before the ink drys on the paperwork. Order the hard line kit for the FEL. If you ever want anything up there like a power angle FEL mount blade or grapple etc you'll be glad to have the lines and the cost is small upfront. I regret not getting them on mine up front. Also the automatic cruise control is only about $100 if added now. Better cruise and allows better access / control to Load Match etc. Just a thought.

Actually I'll be ordreing the 59" blower this fall and I plan on making a hydro chute adjuster so the extra front pipes might come in handy. Not sure about the cruse. I watched the video and it seems like the standard is pretty good and easy to use.

Unless something has changed, the FEL comes off when installing the 59" front mount snow blower. The 59 Blower attaches via separate "A" frame quick hitch and the lines for the chute attach to one set of the FEL hydro connections and is controlled with the joy stick.

Sunnyside,
yes, that's true, you get four lines out, left chute, right chute, blower up, blower down. but the chute up/down is manual and if you want to run it remotely (a good idea) than you need some system to do it. Another set of lines will allow this.

Rob, you got it. I was reading Cinder's entry above together with yours and you can have hard lines installed on the FEL which are very useful as Cinder indicated for grapple, FEL mounted plow, and etc. and that set of lines can be connected to a rear set of hydraulic connectors.
My 59 SB chute is fixed and I don't believe it's been moved in the 3 winters I've been clearing snow from my half mile of asphalt driveway. However, I can see some instances where it would be handy to have.

I have a pretty long driveway about 1/4 mile or so and sometimes the wind blows snow back if the chute is too high. I've never really adjusted mine because I didn't have the extra lines. I'm getting the extra rear lines and the power beyond for the BH so I'm trying not to make this thing a plumber's nightmare!
What's the option called, is it expensive? Maybe I'll add it.

I didn't think I'd want cruise control but it sure is handy when spraying or spreading and a constant speed is needed for disbursement rate.

One other thing that I wish I had done at order was auxiliary lights front and back on the ROPS. Some guys are handy enough to put these in aftermarket and not blow-up the electrical system; I'm not

2YD,
Is it that much better? I've used the standard one, it gives pretty good speed regulation.

The hard lines were installed on the FEL about a year after purchasing the tractor when I bought the grapple and were installed by the dealer. The hard lines were included with the price of the grapple so I don't know the cost. I can't believe the hard lines would be that expensive, but it wouldn't be the first time I've been surprised by JD prices.

Hard lines on the FEL probably won't help with the Blower since the FEL comes off and the Blower has its own mounting system.

In addition to better Cruise Control function, the Automotive Cruise Control option provides three additional buttons that allow direct access to "SpeedMatch" - "MotionMatch" & "LoadMatch" functions. See section "Operating - Machine" in the online manual to determine if direct control of those features would ever be of use. Upfront cost is in $100 range
