Hey Mark (polo),

What did you ever work out for your solution for the old gas?

I'm just going to mix it in a little at a time with fresh stuff and use it in the lawn tractor.

Agreed! I just wish mine had a root rake, cause when they logged it before I bought it, they left piles EVERYWHERE. I was thinking of going to a few oil change places and see if I could get some old motor oil.....

Our property was logged about twenty years ago (well before we owned it) there are no big brush piles left, but unfortunately not too many nice big trees either. They are coming back though, and slowly choking out the undergrowth.
I've got probably ten gallons of used motor oil and at least ten gallons of used hydro. That amount probably wouldn't help you, but your welcome to it.

Just don't stand in front of a blazing fireplace when you do!!!

Jeff

I hear ya, Jeff. Don't want to start any flash fires:eek:
Talk about your backdraft........sheesh

ya know---- I have had a bad gas problem ever since being forced to go into a tear gas chamber 20 years ago without a gas mask...

I really really don't think you want to do that...

Later,
Jason

Well Jason, I don't have any experience with tear gas, but I did spend some time in a high school football locker room in my younger years. Probably not as bad, but bad enough.

yeppers it is hot...

now that you mention it..
I will go down there right now.

It has been a long week...
had late nights at work 3 outa 4.. and had a little over 3hours of windshield time today...

Gimme 20 min...

Johnny..

Yeah Johnny, I've been looking forward to an update in that thread too. Think I'll head over there and check it out.

I got a laptop... and wireless that covers the entire house.. plus about 40 feet in all directions outside..

Kinda easy to do when you have the Cisco gear I have...

so yeah-- I have actually used TBN and a few sites down there in the past..

Pictures posting in a few...
Jerry

Come to think of it we've got a wireless connection for our DSL. I could probably sit on the porch and catch up on TBN, That's a great idea Jerry, thanks.

Have you considered trying Pri-G? I've never tried it but heard good things about it. It claims to make old gas like new again.

Thanks for that link jim2210. I see that there is a distributor in Akron. Next time I'm up there I'll stop in and check it out. SOunds like it might just be what I was looking for.

I'm curious the difference between PRI-G and Stabil.

Looks like this PRI-G actually can restore old gas to its original state, I think Stabil is more of a preservative.

I read the info, but I'm just wondering of Stabil will do the same thing if you use double dosage like PRI-G? It might be interesting to get both and do a compairison as Stabil is more readily available? Your thoughts?

I could certainly try it. You're right about the availablity. I'll pick some Stabil up this afternoon on the way home from work and give it a shot.
I'll check the internet price on the PRI-G, gotta be cheaper than driving to Akron.

Another thing you might look at is a product called "Start" made by the company which makes Stabil. Start your engines - fuel system revitalizer
