Switched 16LA FEL to Quick Attach

I have been thinking about this specific dilemna. My thought was to let the QA attachment stick out the top? Will the bucket go low enough if I do this?

Tomorrow, I'll try to get a photo of my NH QA bucket unattached so you can get an idea of where they locate the plate.

I noticed on the back of my bucket is curved, looks like the back inside of the bucket was pounded with rocks, not sure if they came form factory curved or not? It looks like where they attached the current brackets it is not as round, does the quick attach fit flat accross the back of the bucket or does it need to be filled in with a piece of metal?

Here is a picture of my 5' bucket with the standard NH QA adapter. If you can approximate this position, it will probably be the best arrangement.

Your bucket looks different from mine, My back flat piece is only 14" and the top edge slopes up more at a steeper angle. Almost as if the back of your bucket is square and bigger and mine has less capacity because the top joins that back of the bucket lower. If that makes any sence

Maybe you have a standard duty bucket instead of the heavy duty one. I looked at my 6' bucket and it is the same shape as my 5' bucket. However, my 6' bucket is a HD pin-on bucket with a Kasco Uni-hitch adapter to make it a QA bucket. I have noticed the new 250TL loaders on the 23xx and 304x tractors have different shaped buckets, but your loader is a 16LA, isn't it?

Jinman,

Both the upper and lower portion of my bucket are different than yours(which is obviously much stouter than mine). I have actually bent the sheet metal on my bucket, by throwing in rock I carried myself, by hand.

I have about 3 inches of vertical space where the QA plate is is going to extend above(or below) the back flat part.

As you suggest, it would be better to extend it up(or the plate will get bent while backing up). I'll take some pictures when I get back(in a couple of weeks).

Thank you again!!!!

Chris

Can you box in the upper part where you plan to extend it? Just thinking as long as you are going to have it extended up there, you might be able to make use of the space with a taller bucket, chain box, or something.

Here is a pic of the Loader bucket and a pic of the Tie rod and the last pic is where the rubbing is occuring.

The rub is directly below where the hydrualic steering assist pin is under the center of the tractor, minor damage.

As you can see it is a slight bow in the tie rod bar.
