I have been thinking about this specific dilemna. My thought was to let the QA attachment stick out the top? Will the bucket go low enough if I do this?

Your bucket looks different from mine, My back flat piece is only 14" and the top edge slopes up more at a steeper angle. Almost as if the back of your bucket is square and bigger and mine has less capacity because the top joins that back of the bucket lower. If that makes any sence
Can you box in the upper part where you plan to extend it? Just thinking as long as you are going to have it extended up there, you might be able to make use of the space with a taller bucket, chain box, or something.Jinman,
Both the upper and lower portion of my bucket are different than yours(which is obviously much stouter than mine). I have actually bent the sheet metal on my bucket, by throwing in rock I carried myself, by hand.![]()
I have about 3 inches of vertical space where the QA plate is is going to extend above(or below) the back flat part.
As you suggest, it would be better to extend it up(or the plate will get bent while backing up). I'll take some pictures when I get back(in a couple of weeks).
Thank you again!!!!
Chris
