I have. 4740. Only complaint I have so far is the seat. It bottoms out when I hit a bump. I crank the ajustment but it still bottoms out and the back of the seat is up higher then the front and not comfortable. I talked to my dealer and said kubota would not warranty it. It is a 4 month tractor. I hope that is not the performance I get when something else goes wrong. It will cost me $1500 get a new seat. Not many company's will play fair. Kinda disappointed.
The manual on our M8540 calls for a cool down period prior to shutting down, so we leave it running if we have to dismount for a bit while I just shut my L5030 off.
We are probably being over protective of it, but really hate to take chances.
I am sure the L5030 will out last me if I keep it, but when I start having repairs, I am trading it off. I can only walk short distances and don't want to get stranded back off in a valley somewhere with no cell reception. I know break downs can happen with newer tractors, but they are much less likely.
We have some tractors built in the 50's out at another farm that my brothers use, so these things can last a very long time with a little work here and there. I have, however, had to walk home on more than one occasion though.

I think the cool down depends more on what you were doing than time. If you just plowed the back 40 and really worked the engine hard it will need more time. But if you just spent 5 minutes driving back to the barn/ shop and really weren't stressing the motor the turbo really isn't going to benefit from idling for another 5 minutes. It would be nice if Kubota added an oil temp gauge to the turbo models.
You and me both. I would say anyone who thinks like us should worry less about the costs and more about picking out the features they want or could want. After all what's an extra $2000 when you spread it out over 30 years?
