How Gigabit Ethernet Works | Hardware Secrets

i have seen people rewire a cat 5 line to run both phone and internet at the same time. it is looked down upon by the nerdy techs, but all i can say...it does work. im sure to purest it may introduce some interferance in the lines, but i surely dont see it when i saw it working.

Ya that was it. Thanks.. I know I could have googled it. But Cat 5 cable is cheap so you can run to sets of cable and still have a ton of room.

Definitely need Ethernet in the building
2 pair four wires are used for 100 megabit or gigabit connections. There is TX+ TX- RX + RX - that stands for transmit +/- and recieve +/- If your run is very long and you have trouble with lightning at your home I would use wireless from home to outbuildings. There are wireless bridges that are good up to 4 miles for about 150 bucks and are plug and play. EZ-Bridge is one brand I use at work and are pretty much bullet proof. The only drawback is the antennas have to be line of sight to each other. Do put spare pipes in ground as they will get used and you will be glad you put them in.

We have a wireless router in the house.... our neighbor two doors down can connect to it, so I don't think that would be a problem. I'll throw a couple cables in there anyway, but it's close enough to the house that the wireless signal wouldn't be a problem.

Very nice.
So what is your take on the Perma Columns?
Looks like a 2x10 splash board, nice.

how deep are those post bases in the ground? they look like there just resting against the form board and sitting on the ground? I cant really tell by the pictures.

ive never seen this system installed before. it looks like theres no concrete behind the unit when the forms are removed.
