Hello Ed,

It sounds as if you may have a severe case of Hydrauliccouplerfittingitis:

To solve it:

Be very very sure the fluid pressure is released on the backhoe AFTER you have the upper boom and lower boom and bucket fully extended and on the ground.

Be sure to position the boom to the left or right depending upon how easy it will be to get to the fluid couplers.

this is the messy part; after the pressure is fully released you can break one or both of the connections on the coupler fittings with wrenches and heavy rags covering the threads to prevent them from spraying as you loosen them slightly.

This should solve the issue for you.

I would also go to a hydraulic repair shop and buy 2 pairs of good or the best male/female Aeroquip or Parker couplers to replace the ones you have as this is a common problem, be sure to take them with you to the hydraulic repair shop if you go.

The other issue is always the bracket mounts for the fittings on the tractor side of the system as they fail to install them with a male and female on both sides to make the attaching of the hoses easier. this is problematic because the fittings can look like they are fully attached but they are not and they can blow off.

My brothers Bush Hog back hoe was they same way and had the same problems.

Just be sure you have thick rags covering the fittings when you crack them as hydraulic oil under pressure will cause severe injury, Its terribly dissapointing that your dealer did not come and fix their problem.

IF you buy new couplers(I would buy aeroquip or parker only) Be sure to install the pairs using the male/female pairing only to make it easier to install and remove them by increasing the amount of room you will have to
grasp the female coupler with one hand and slide it back before you make the coupling.

If you have any questions please send me a PM if needed.

Please let me know if your B3200 has a lot of vibration at low idle.

Can you tell me more about what this solves?

My BH77 had a similar problems: first, it would sometimes slowly droop on its own. Dealer "fixed" it and said there was some gunk in the relief valve. Second problem was dipperstick was slow to retract and had little power. Dealer "fixed" it and said it was the control valve. It is working better now, but I'm not 100% sure they fixed the source of the problem.

thanks!

I know this is a terribly old post but I am thinking about a BH77 for my Kubota B3200 and was wondering if you ever got it fixed? WATCH OUT FOR THE TRACTOR (B3200) STEP!!! Mine broke off and left me on the ground, dealer and Kubota rep came and was faulty welds! I just know it is going to happen again, has anyone else had the step break?? Thank You

Just click on reeltime's name under recent posts and you can see where he answered in another thread. It sounds like it was finally resolved and was part of a recall.

At the time there were some documented problems with certain serial numbers of the then new model BH. I held off purchasing mine for awhile at the time. I had one bad relief valve on mine and other than that it has been (knock on wood) trouble free.

There is always a potential for problems with anything mechanical, but this unit has been in production now for quite awhile. You will be happy with the unit on your 3200.
