New Holland Subcompacts?

Neil,

Any news if Kubota has an update coming/redesign on the table for the BX models?

I've not seen or heard anything, but as the normal refresh cycle of models go they should be comming about shortly. That said, Kubota seems to be going about 10 different ways right now and its possible they are putting engineering resources elsewhere.

I agree that there are still gaps, I guess I didn't think we were talking about the entire NH lineup here. I also agree with a little more reading that the Boomer 20 and 25 are Class I tractors not subcompacts. At the same time, they may fit the bill for the OP.

Gaps? You must work in Sales and have a small part of your gross come from CUT's.
With the end of the Shibaura contract and the execution of CNH's deal with LS, CNH has all but abdicated its position in the CUT marketplace. I don't know about your end of PA, but here it is nearly impossible to get anyone to sit on a Boomer let alone buy one. I'm all but certain we sold more Kiotis in the first three months we had that contract (first quarter 2011) than we did Boomers and Workmasters in all of 2011.
Shibaura subcompacts are coming to your local Kioti dealer soon, by the way.

Oh I feel the sting of no more ISM tractors, there is no question. Taking a customer that has a TC or the like and showing them a new Boomer is tough. Staying positive is the key, as the decisions that are made by the higher ups are often not the best moves in the eyes of everyone. It was not that long ago that the dealer body was crying about "an over speced and over priced ISM" lets keep in mind. As you probably know better than I, this stuff is cyclical and maybe some one will eventually wake up and make a reasonable OEM agreement. As for Shibura and Kioti, it is disappointing for the NH guys and some accountability needs to surface for the break down in CNH's relationship. However, kudos to Kioti. Do you find the Kioti to be superior to the other CUT's on the market?

There are often questions here about the 'best' this or that available, in other words, an offering that is universally judged to be superior. If there were any one 'best' version of a particular product, other brands would disappear over time. We needed to replace a popular and successful product that was no longer available; thinking (perhaps correctly) that CNH had failed in that regard. There is little doubt that Kioti tractors offer features and value not available to us or our customers from CNH. We inherited a substantial local Kioti customer base that exhibits a high level of product satisfaction, and we are building on that group's level of dealer satisfaction. There is a distinction to be made between remaining positive about a product line and blindly following along. The success of the CNH marketing strategy falls a distant third goal for us below the happiness and success of our customers and that of our own dealership.

There is no question that the priority of a business must be the satisfaction of its customers, no one is saying let the blind lead the blind. If NH, Kioti, or any other company does not offer what a customer wants and needs, it (in my opinion) is the responsibility of the customer AND dealer (to the best possible extent) to find them the best suitable machine for their needs and budget regardless of color. That's exactly why there are forums like this. I would not be honest if I said that I wasn't partial to blue, but I am not oblivious to the rest of what is out there.

The initial question here was if NH was going to offer a subcompact. The answer is they are introducing a 20 and 25 hp class I frame sized tractor that has similar specs to the JD the OP was also looking at. I did not state that "the new Boomer 20 and 25 is the greatest thing on earth simply because NH made it" from the top pf the message board, I simply stated what is coming.

I will admit that I was a little over the top saying "NH now has a full lineup", and for that I realize a little chastisement is deservedly coming my way.

I'm surprised you're not selling more Workmasters. Our WM55 is fantastic. We bought ours in October and have about 90 hours on it now. It's a solid classic 4wd tractor. The plate steel is much thicker than other tractors in the same hp range. Minimal plastic to get brittle and crack. Everything is easy on/off connectors.

The only negative is the size of the fill hole in the transmission. It could use a bigger fill hole.

I have to say, I'm surprised that more people aren't snapping these up for small acreage farms.
