Sad story.
I had such cases with the customers while working in a position of workshop manager. It happens when engine sucks in water inside the cylinder. But usually engine even not starts after that.
In your case I would better fix an original engine or would purchase remanufactured one from certified workshop with the warranty. It's more expensive, but with minimum risk.
Try to get back to a seller and talk to him.

Had the motor about nine months but not to worry I can use the rods out of the old one with new rings and shells so it'll be a good motor when done

Yeah, rod looks awfully... Hope you'll successfully fix an engine.

I plan on using it for the 3rd function for my grapple. Your left foot does not do much so I am putting it to use. Right hand-loader control, Right foot-HST,
Left hand-steering wheel spinner, Left foot-grapple.

I helped my Uncle, almost got stuck while trying to dig some ditches for him to divert some water for a garden spot. The ground hasn't seen a machine in 20 years or more, the whole area is like a swamp. The worst part was busting a hydraulic hose on the FEL trying to get out. Luckily my cousin has a hydraulic and machine shop. LOL, next door to Kubota. It worked out good and we were up and running in about and hour.

Saturday I was up at Lunenburg; used the tractor to run the cultivator over my three food plots. I swapped out the cultivator for the bush hog and serviced it. Then ran it to cut a trail along Lyle Creek for 300 yards before the foliage (and snakes) come back! Ran like a champ!

Hooked up the disc and went over the garden. Much better this year then last year. Probably cause last year was record snow and this year was almost no snow.
