Buying Advice L series, what makes it Grand?

For the money a grandL cost i would buy an M series tractor its a few bucks more the grands have an 854 fel whers as the smaller M S have an 1153 fel that a lot more lift cap more wieght traction in the mud higher ground clearance larger tires a larger frame tractor

I think if you ran a grand l with the dual speed hydro you would think a little differently about them. It is hard to understand how useful it is til you operate one.

How much can you lift Roger? Anything near 2700 lbs?

For some that is a good idea, but the lack of an HST is a "no go" for a lot of people. I'd love to have an M6040 or equivalent with an HST or HST+,:thumbsup:

L series bare honest bones, Grand.....frills for those who like toys....(well not exactly, but close) unless your conditions requires the use of comfort/luxury in

I am researching the L series and have found the Grand moniker being used, sometimes interchangeably, with the L's. Specifically, I am looking at the L 3130. Is it a grand? And what does Grand offer that other L's do not.....

Ouch, my toes. Actually in my experience only partially true as the Grand L "usually" has a heavier frame, different motor, better 3PH lift as well as stronger motor. I am only referring to the regular L up to the L4600 as it may well be different and not MX or M.

Now I could be wrong, but since it has never happened before it is hard for me to tell...:laughing:

ovrszd did the same thing L4400 I think to an M9540 and he LOVES his. I like both the L5740 and M8540 both, different tractors for different things and I actually need both, no really I do...:licking::laughing:

I know I can lift this building and it had close to 400lbs of stuff in that end.
