The big question I have is did the ram have the 68rfe or the Aisin in the test? The Aisin has an advantage for pulling I bet ford used the 68rfe equipped ram. Plus the Aisin equipped ram has 50 ftlbs more torque.

The Aisin has the following gears

1st 3.750
2nd 2.000
3rd 1.340
4th 1.000
5th .770
6th .630

The 68rfe has

1st 3.23
2nd 1.84
3rd 1.41
4th 1.00
5th .82
6th .63

We went with the most capable / highest rated towing package from each manufacturer, which determined the axle ratios.

There is no way around it, the better gears will help the Ford no matter how the transmission is geared. Like so many others have said the results were stacked against the Ram and Chevy before the test was even started.

Bottom line, though, is that is the best that each company has to offer. Doesn't matter how the deck was stacked, Ford picked the best from each. What, should Ford use lower (numerically) gears just because the others don't offer the higher (numerically) gears? No, Ford should grab the best of the bunch from each, and show the results. It was stacked in Ford's favor because Ford offers something the others don't. Pretty simple.

I'll give you that, and I agree with you.

But, let's not say that Ford stacked it against the competition. The only way they did that was by offering higher (numerically) gears, and it had nothing to do with this test. Now, if Ford would have used the F450, then yes, that would have been stacking it against the competition.

Not true. Look at the 1/2 ton test posted here a month ago. The Ford with 3.73 gears out performed the Dodge with 4.11 and Toyota with 4.30.

Tire size, gear ratio, tranny gears, and torqu range all factor into it.

Yup! Bottom line, they are all great vehicles. Drive them all and buy the one that fits your needs and wants the best. Who cares what anyone else thinks!
