Mx5100HST OR DK50HST OR 5035 MAHINDRA?

Any of them tractors will overload a 7k trailer with having just a loader and a average size implement.

So whatever you do, you need a trailer upgrade. So dont let that be the deciding factor.

All 3 are good machines. obviously, heavier is better for traction and dirtwork.

Lighter is better for PTO work like bushhogging.

Just have to balance your needs and what tractor/features fit YOU best at a price you like.

I am going through the same thing right now, although I have not looked at the Koiti. I had Kubota L5030 HST and it did fine for anything I needed.Sold it 3 years ago. Now I am shopping again, I was between the 5035 and the mx5100 but I decided to go with the Mahindra 5035, just trying to get my finances in order this week. The front tire size and axle was a big factor in my decision. The Kubota front tires are just too small, I remember getting them stuck a lot on my other tractor. The weight is also a big factor and the Kubota is too light on features. Not crazy about red (color only) but I can always paint it any way I want...

I'm with LD. My 7k trailer weighs in at 2,200 lbs. and my DK40 cab with loader oversizes it no problem. If towing is a big deal for you, I would upgrade the trailer or at least upgrade the axles to 2 x 5k and the hitch.

The kubota doesn't drop the load to fast, the operater does. If your not towing very much or very far the trailer will be fine just use common sence

That's what I did the first time around.

It has nothing to do with using common sense. If the trailer is overloaded, it's not safe whether you use it a lot, or a little, or the trips are short (whatever that means). You can do everything as safe as possible, but that doesn't mean the other idiots on the road will do the same.

An MX5100 with just the FEL and bucket would easily max out a 7K trailer....load the tires, or add an implement, and you're well over max gross weight. Hey, but don't worry, if some idiot cuts you off, and causes an accident that results in injury or death, it's not like they'll figure out you were over weight when they do the accident investigation, and your insurance company will refuse to cover you because you were illegally operating the vehicle, or anything. No, that could never happen in today's litigious society....never.

Sorry to chime in with the eventual..... How are the dealerships? You have some good choices there, dealers make a difference for me.

You didn't mention what type of tires you have on your L3200,R1's and ballast should give you more traction.Tooth-bar on the bucket will also help with digging. Our L3000DT is a decent digging machine. As noted with HST,you need to "back-off" the "go pedal" for more power. My L3130 HST with R1's also was fair at digging.
