Last I checked (a while ago, admittedly), this Ram diesel will be offered in a base truck in Canada.

After ordering, you might have to wait months to get it, but I'm hoping that is still the case.

Exactly! Who would have thought you would find all of these creature comforts in a pickup!

Personally, I think all of the "Big 3" make good pickups, and Ram has come the furthest in the last 5 years.

Have you ever been in a campground? Lots of folks tow with half ton trucks. I was one until I upsized my trailer to a fifth wheel.

How many empty, unused pickups do you see in a run of a day? Lots here. Most of these vehicles, particularly the fully loaded ones, will be mall cruisers.

My sticker was 1835 lbs minus your sticker of 1256 lbs equals 579 lbs or 47% more capacity.

I didn't opt for the Max payload which would have added an additional 500-600 lbs to my 1835 making it 2335-2435 lb payload.

You mentioned your tow rating was 7900 lbs. If you consider the tongue weight to be 12% or 948 lbs, that only leaves you 308 lbs for passengers and belongings.

Point being the published values from the manufacturer is for best case scenerio with no options. Your truck was 254 pounds different which is substantial.

Now I really like the Ram trucks but it wouldn't work with my 940 lb tongue trailer I had at time of purchase. You are enjoying a better ride quality than I have in return.
