My YM240 is all original and its set up like Corey's. Photo. The sway chains aren't long enough to go back and use the second holes.

I was just saying that there some VN tractors with ROPS.
Anyway. My arms are just like yours came from Fredericks. I know it will work. that verticle piece is what i have to disconnect on wide things to get the lift arms on. I just move the pins though. as if its too wide the arms hit the tires anyway. You will probably give up several hundred pounds of lift like you have yours set now? at least 100#

you can move them around to gain lift power etc, thats why there more than one hole for each thing.
That's interesting. My chains are too long to fit the first hole unless I leave out a link. You guys have yours set up just like in the Hoye link that Daniel provided. I will leave out a chain link and switch places with the chain and leveler and see how it works. No doubt that as Clemson pointed out I am losing some lifting power the way I have it now. But it gives a lot more range of movement up and down and makes the 3 point adjustment much more sensitive. Using the 2nd hole will give me back a little lifting power and should still keep it easy to hook up the equipment.
But I hope I don't have to ever use that last hole for anything. The leveler just wasn't designed to be at that much of an angle and it kept it in a constant bind. I literally spent 30 minutes trying to hook up that disc when I bought it. It was on unlevel ground, and even though I unhitched both of the lift arm levelers, I had to hammer and beat on the thing to ever get it to all go into place. Then I had almost no range of motion when picking up and lowering the disc. Apparently, they have used different levelers and chains over the years and what works ok on one tractor may not work well on another.

Yea i lost part of my check chain of the original and had to order one from HOye. It has more length i think but still tightens up.
I also thing i moved my vertical stabilizers back one hole but this was only a few inchas inward not behind the chains like yours.

Clemsonfor, you posted this on page 3 of this thread. If you will look back on page 5 you will see the pic of my tractor pulling a disc beside a typical field of mine. I came back later and cut the field with the Super C and a 5' Sidewinder drag type cutter. It was all the Super C could do to get thru it. I had to run in 1st gear and take a small bite each time. It was harder than it would be to cut with the Yanmar because of no 3 point hitch; I just had to pull it thru at one height and that wasn't very high.
I'm still trying to decide on a cutter. I'm gonna buy from my local guy, so its either an Andy 400 or 500. The 400 would still be wider than the tractor so I could mow up close to trees and such. The 500 might save some time, but if I'm having to cut in the crawler gear it might not save much at all. Its only $80 more for the 500. I'm thinking the 500 makes a lot more sense, but the 400 will just look like it fits the tractor better. I've probably gotta decide tomorrow, so any additional opinions will be appreciated! I'd sure like to hook to both of them and test them, but he doesn't have them put together.
I found a good buy on a 6.5x16 dual axle trailer, so now I have a way to haul it around. My last major purchase should be the cutter, so thanks to all for the help!

i think which ever cutter you buy you are going to wish at times you had bought the other. I run a 5 footer for years with my 2002d and not long before I sold it I bought a 4 footer. It is a trade off. Light mowing you cover a lot more ground with the 5 footer. Heavy mowing the 4 footer is much better suited to the tractor. I would likely buy the 5 footer for the price difference.
