Thanks for all the help and suggestions. I've decided the everlast 140ST is going to do most of what I need. I'd also like to say the TBN forum is the best resource for info and support I've seen period!

Power arc 140ST on the way. Found one open or damage box for $229. Comes with everything as new. Will be putting the 240 vac outlet in after it arrives.

What ever welder you choose is fine, but make sure if you are doing any welding on the tractor itself you disconnect the battery. Especially if has any electronics on it. Welding currents flowing through equipment with the battery hooked up can and will set up all kinds of strange current flows. From blowing out alternators and ECM's to freezing transmission shift rails in place. We get all kinds of strange no starts and no charge to steering stuck. First thing we look for is fresh welds.
