Hello All, I am considering making a long distance purchase on a piece of equipment at Legacy Farm and Lawn in Joplin MO.

Any experience with this (branch) company? Would anyone from that area be willing to take a look in person for me? I would be happy to supply a small payment for the service.

Please send me an email or PM.

Gotta be a lot of tractor guys around Joplin, but maybe they don't feel right about the responsibility this would entail? Good luck. Maybe a short vacation to Joplin is in order?

What's the equipment you are considering?

Maybe PM Radrock?

Well, I would help if I was in the area. I have looked at tractors for a few folks and asked a few folks on here who lived in the same town as a piece of equipment to take a look for me, bad thing on one piece, they bought it after looking at it.

Appreciate it, haven't found anyone yet, but given my budget I would rather miss out on one then pay a good price for a bad one.

Did you try to PM Radrock, he is near joplin and retired?

I did, I haven't heard anything back from him yet.

I'm no closer to Joplin than Radrock, so unfortunately I can't help him. I thought if folks knew what he was considering, they might be more inclined to volunteer.

I noticed in the first post, which got moved to this thread, that the OP mentioned a Kubota, if that helps...

Kubota Tractor, B2910. Seems in good condition overall and the price is decent. A little more than I have to spend on it but I have been wanting one as a workhorse, and figured I might get the dealer to come down a little.
Radrock said he was only 25 miles from the dealership and mentioned that he did not think highly of them which was good to know, though the tractor wasn't bought or serviced there. So as long as the tractor is okay my only interaction with the dealer is purchase and shipping. But the overall the consensus seems to be that no one is willing to take a look, which I guess can't blame them. I have done it before for other things in the past for other people, and people have done it here, so I will have to hope one of them speaks up.

Haha, Sometimes it would probably take a grenade to get me off the couch, or out of bed.

What happened to the other tractors you were buying?

Picked up a G1900 for lawn/yard work with deck and snow blower for a steal.
With that, I went back to looking at the B2910 which often come up for the same price as smaller B's (ie B7610 or B2410) but more tractor. Anything smaller I would probably end up selling again later to buy something bigger. And with the G1900 in the garage I won't have to worry about the B2910 sinking in my lawn.

I hope to get another B6000 down the road; that thing was a lot of fun in a small package.

I had a B6200 for a few years. Great little tractor. Sold after I bought my current B2620.

I found a b2910 on tractor house that is in Saxton, PA. It is a higher price than the one in Joplin but it is three years newer and you sure wouldn't have that shipping fee.

I have seen that one, but it is $3000 more expensive which plain and simple puts it out of my price range (3k is also an extra $180 in tax). It looks like it has the 60" deck instead of the 72", and I doubt I could get him anywhere close to the price of the one in Joplin. As far as the age, he doesn't list the hours which I find odd but hours and condition mean more to me than year of manufacture. Hence why my car is over 10 years old, but I bought it with 30,000 miles for the price of a 10 year old car. That dealer usually puts out show and tell videos on youtube which I have been waiting for. But my understanding of the dealer is that they are pretty firm on their prices. Shipping is far less than that difference in price.
