His loader lifts about 1,000 minus the weight of the grapple. If the bin was 4x2x4 it might work, but 4x4x2 puts a lot of weight well past the pins. If he had a set of 3 pt forks he might be able to move it.

We use these with pallet forks to tote wood around:

Wood shed is made so it'll fit and we can poke in the doors to get closer to the middle.
With 2 of them, a couple people can stack while a couple more split. They're lower to the ground than a trailer.

IBC totes work well too. Watch CL and get them used.

For my 3 cords a year, this is my B series set up... The grapple, "The Thumb" is great for grabbing logs, rocks, holding the overflowing mulch or leaf piles in the bucket...

As for moving split wood, Not so much, but it does works, I'm able to scoop the wood and even though the grapple just gets the middle it holds most of the wood in... Its a small bucket, so I don't move a lot in a single scoop...

Very nice add-on Grapple. It's limited by the apron length of the bucket which I referred to earlier. But it's a huge gain over a bare bucket!!! When hauling dirt I push the bucket full and then clamp the Grapple to hold more in the bucket. Makes my 6ft bucket with Grapple hold more dirt than my 7ft bucket without.

Whenever I can I block my wood while being held in the Grapple. Sure beats blocking on the ground!!!

I moved this pile with a grapple. It doesn't work great, but sure beats a bucket. The last picture was hand loaded.

No. The place was designed and built by a bunch of preschoolers. The worst part has been torn down. The block wall at the top of the stairs and the chain link fence with barbed wire ( not pictured ) is to keep the homeless out.

Added a wear bar to the bucket edge... Adds 3" more real estate to the bucket apron...
