I've been reading along on this thread and taking it all in. My only comment is, I cannot see having an electric vehicle in any form, car, 4 wheeler, whatever because it's only a 'feel good' thing and not green at all. ------------------

Post on however, I like reading the thread.

For me, it is not about Green, that never entered my mind.

It is about performance and noise. Our first UTV was gas, traded it for diesel, traded it for this electric.

No matter how cold it is, I can walk up on the porch, get in, turn on the key, push the reverse switch and back out on the driveway, faster than it took to type this sentence .

Great tip on the syringe! I think I have a big 150 or 200cc one somewhere.

Got the charger changed to algorithm 11 just fine.

Joined the rangerforum, and I've reached out to Voltronix. I see some lithiums in my future.

Very cool machine. I suppose that unless you're traveling long distances there is really not a whole lot of downside to the electric. I love the idea of no cold starts or waiting to warm up. Which brings me to the next thought . How does the heater work in these electric units?

I don't know, don't need one here for the mile round trip to the mail box, since that is mostly what it gets used for in cold weather.

The highest capacity Voltronix Lithium coversion kit advertises an estimated range of 65 miles. Wow!

"For me, it is not about Green, that never entered my mind."

I inserted my comment because I have a friend who owns a Tesla and all I heard for a month was how 'green it was and finally, I busted his chops about it. We happened to be in the town where the power plant is, having dinner with out wives and he was extolling the virtues of the Tesla as usual... I said to him, come over to the window, I want to show you something... I pointed at the stacks of the power plant and said, thats your green and I don'r want to hear about your green ****ing Tesla again....ever.

Not a word after that.

I thought there was a dedicated cable that went from the wind turbines right to the individual charging plugs.

My other interest in a 48 volt UV was the ability to plug my 3000 watt inverter into it, as a back up for my backup to my backup gensets. Now I can scrap my other 48 volt battery bank, free up the room and don't have to worry about maintenance on little used batteries.

A mobile battery bank. That almost sounds like it would qualify for a tax break. :D

Re: Electric Polaris Ranger Has Enough Torque To Climb A Tree.

Finally tried something that I have wanted to do for a long time.
