Stopped by the local Cat dealer hoping to do some dumpster diving, and instead was given these after I explained what'd happened and what I was looking for to fix it.

You would be shocked how much those things cost new. $200 to $300 each is a wild guess, maybe more.

SD, I'm sure they're north of $100, but even a whole ripper shank for a D5 is only $300 (which I thought was remarkably reasonable considering it's only $2/lb). I was offered more points, but I wasn't there to take advantage of them - I really only wanted a peek in their scrap dumpster to see if there was one I could weld up. :laughing: I didn't even get dirty.
Jacain, first, thanks! As to spray: I have in the past but it's been several years for my personal stuff. Getting up into globular is as hot as I run most of the time. I've done pulsed spray at a job briefly, but not enough to be any kind of expert on it.
I still have my 98/2 bottle, but it's stuffed in a corner behind a bunch of brake rotors I've been holding onto for target stand bases (I should clean those out and put them in a ballast box). One of these days I'll mess around with the pulser on my MIG and work on that. I've always been more of a "I know I can make a good weld with short arc, so I'm using that" kind of guy. Getting fancy isn't as important as a good job that'll hold up to me.
