Thanks!

You mean like this?

:)

It's hosted on Photobucket and embedded as HTML code instead of uploaded to TBN's server. I have this build on 3 sites, so it's a lot easier to just cut and paste the whole works over instead of uploading all the pics to the different servers 3 times each.

Sure is windy out there to be painting, but I don't have room for this thing inside.

OK, thanks! Makes it a lot easier and fun to follow a build thread with those large embedded pictures.

Finally got some weather where a guy can paint outside, right?

Yep, I don't like the way TBN's hosting works either. It's not as smooth as just reading and looking and reading when you have to click on the pics and then scroll through them to figure out which is which. The down side is that if I ever have a problem with photobucket this thread becomes worthless.

Being able to open the doors out in the shop is great. Being able to go up North and play in the woods is even better. I have my taxes, a customer's machine to finish, and a doc appt Wed, then I'm outta here! :D

I agree on viewing a thread with the large embedded pictures.

The problem with offsite photo hosting is at some point in the future the pictures can be unavailable.

Got it put together yesterday, but I've been working on the power SSQA upgrade and parked is as far as the subsoiler got.

Put the SS to work Saturday.

First cut (hard to drive straight looking behind you)

Found some rocks

Lots of roots

Several stumps

Which eventually bent my cutting point

But that didn't seem to slow it down all that much. Then I tried tugging an oak stump that wasn't ground down, and wasn't all that rotten, and it broke the blade at the lower bolt hole. After that it didn't dive well at all, so I gave up trying.

I managed to bend my hydraulic top link cylinder eye during the pulling, so I'll need to fix that and as such, I left the SS up North this week. I'm probably going to get a ripper tooth for a excavator bucket to replace the cheap cutting edge. I had a feeling that one needed more support, more mass, or both.

And some action footage in 3rd gear:

I could've gone faster but I was on trails barely wide enough for the rear tires, so piloting the machine dictated the ground speed. :)

A few tweaks and you've got another nice addition to the family. Looks great!

Thanks!

I'm going to see if Zeigler has any used excavator teeth I can grab, and if not I've got a good bit of 1/2" AR400 drops from cutting out IPSC targets that I can use to fab up a new one.
