I'm not in to washing (or waxing) tractors.Notice the warning sign is on the right side? (been meaning to correct that) My dealer isn't very good at paying attention to details.

Eric, I needed something with more loader capacity to deal with my wood handling scheme (using palletized cages to load up wood in the field, after cutting and splitting, season and then deliver to the house). I also need to do more clearing, so a grapple was purchased: I've got lots of piles of brush and stumps. As I clear more I have more grass to cut; the amount that I have was starting to become too much for the B7800 with a 5' rotary cutter. As noted earlier in this thread, I picked up a 6' bush hog; it'll be doing clearing as well as grass cutting: eventually I'll look to pick up a flail mower. Once I get enough pasture area established and some fencing lanes I'll bring in some grazers (would like cattle); likely be looking at only finishing, as year-round isn't going to happen because it's too wet. I'll be looking at using the tractor to (in addition to loading) pull a dump trailer to haul material (from just up the road); need to do a lot of grade work for the new garage and to put down in an area that I'm running some fencing; a neighbor has a bazillion yards of material (comes down off the hill side) and I have a LOT of area that can use it.
Tractor is idle right now because we're smack in the middle of the heaviest part of the rainy season (11" last month; few days ago we had 1.81"; seems like at least 3" per week right now). Water table is about 1' down. At the back end of the tractor is a site for my woodshed, whose construction is delayed because trying to deepen post holes filled with water is a bit difficult: I'd rented a towable augur to do most of the work, but still more to do and a post hole digger doesn't really work with gravely material, which is only made worse when it's more of a slurry.

Got my hydraulics order. I'm undecided whether to use protective sleeving or not. My hoses are extra abrasion resistant: 3/8" HYDRAULAX TOUGH Hose Assembly
The fittings for the rear top link appear to fit the bill (others just stuck up/out too far):
Meanwhile my garage is coming along (slowly). Will have a LOT of grading work to do (going to have to wait until colder weather sets in, which means LESS RAIN!). Hope I don't forget which bay to drive the tractor in to:laughing:

You must be pretty busy, I just turned over 50 hours this week. I have had to wash the tractor off from being covered in chaff and mud. I try to keep the gravel floor where it gets parked clean

Yeah, I'm a pretty busy guy. I'm fairly well tied up in the construction of my garage right now: digging trenches and generally trying to plan the electrics (toss a generator in the mix). And I just picked up another VW TDI: #3 2000 Golf; they're breeding:laughing: (couldn't pass up one from a guy I know that had it configured like mine, plus it having a 6spd [US never saw them in this series here; transmission came from the UK]).
Another big reason is that this ain't the time to have any tractor out on the property, off the beaten path (and I don't have a lot of those :laughing. I'll rut the heck out of things. And if I wanted to I could get just about any machinery stuck! Kind of have to wait for the colder and drier weather to come this way: not a lot drier, but enough to allow operating the tractor- really need to get some materials in for grading in front of the new garage.
Saw that you're booked to have your FEL dealt with. Good deal. I bet you that someone nodded off on one of the loader [manufacturing] runs. Glad that we caught this issue right away.
Hope that your dealer is a better than mine. When I went to wire the rear camera on my tractor I found that the cab top got sealed up with RTV. I contacted my dealer about this and after explaining that it's going to be a pain in my behind should I ever need to pop the top off in the future (speakers, or maybe for a stereo install), I never heard back. At least my cab is staying dry: if it wasn't then they'd be facing having to deal with the RTV!
Did order a nice magnet base for attaching a front camera to. Also got a longer power cord (already had extra video cord). Looking forward to being able to place the camera right up next to the action for my next pallet fork activities.

I knew that I'd eventually want to pick up a box blade for this thing, but my recent episode of getting the Kioti stuck (at the edge of my driveway!) made me see that I really need some more ballast!
I have a great Modern Ag 5' box blade for my Kubota. That box blade is indestructible: I've thought about hooking it up to the Kioti
I like the Frontier box blades. Of course, the one that Eric has -BB4284H- is REALLY nice:thumbsup: However, the cost couldn't be justified for me. And, I don't need to try grading out frozen ground Looking around I have found a BB1284. It has hydraulic rippers, something that, after doing lots of manual adjusting on my other box blade (doesn't help that I had no hydraulic top-link either), I always thought would be nice. Weighs in at around 1,250 lbs. They are over $4k new. Weather forecast is for a string of dry days. I'm thinking I'll be able to haul some material, in which case I'm back to the hitch/drawbar issue...
The hole in the drawbar is significantly larger in diameter than the ball's stud. Am I OK with this -just tighten the ball down really well- or should I look to sleeve it?
To refresh, I'll be pulling a loaded dump trailer a little less than 1/4 mile on fairly level surfaces.

Tufline makes the Frontier BB4284H, as a TB4084H. I like it because it is quick hitch compatible which makes it a snap to attach.
