I am loving mine too. I tried to get by with regular bed but it didn't work for my needs so I put a flatbed on it last week. Almost 10,000 miles now.

In Brazil you get the best of both. You get a Ford body with a Cummins engine new at the dealership. Years go I was talking to the dealer to have one shipped up here,

The freight would cost about the same as the truck or more.

Friend bought a 17 F250 super crew XLT 4x4 gas a couple months ago. It's a nice truck, not all leather , just cloth. I rode a bit in it and some things were nice like the full sunroof. But I like the Sears in my 16 Platinum better. Could just be a matter of getting used to the new shape of the 17 seats but that was one thing that I noticed right away.

Given where the wheels on the trailer are positioned relative to the John Deere, I think she is "sitting pretty", not "squatting". :D

You would be very surprised. About $450 port to port. Getting it licensed and insured in the states is whole different ball game.

Pictures make it look worse than it was. Going to try to back on the shredder first next time. That's about 37-38k gross. Truck is rated to pull 32,500 trailer, 14k truck a 30k trailer

Exactly. Had plenty of pin weight for safety. Just the empty trailer with the compressor sits it downs but. The truck was just sitting on the overloads.

Yep, a lot really. bet it a real mother to drive like that. You know that front end is floating all over the place. Not to mention blinding everyone on the road at night.

Truck handled and drove great. Probably the smoothest drive since I've had it. It's an F-450 so I don't know how much bigger people think I should go?? No middle fingers on the run home, just thumbs up

Brett, I think it looked fine. Those who have never been around a "heavy duty" truck might not understand. Sometimes I end up with a lot of pin weight that squats my truck. But it always drives good. I think Ford has nailed that part!!!

I guess I should have said looks like a good size load there with a good amount of I would say tongue weight but I guess the correct term is pin weight.

The truck doesn't look overloaded at all, more along the lines the tractor is too far forward on the trailer? Idk what I would have done diff with the batwing though.

Trailer is 35+5, I pulled forward and flipped the ramps up then backed the shredder on them a move the load back. Everything is just heavy. Trailer weights 10k, added a 500+lb compressor to the neck doesn't help either. If I can get the shredder loaded on first without much trouble I think it'll take the weight off the pin some more. The tractor is heavy as is the shredder. Other thing would be to add airbags, but I've had them on every other truck and don't want them this time

What's the turning radius on a rig like that? Lol

If you jack knifed it you would be over 110ft circumference.

Dunno. The 450 has a 45 degree turning angle with the wide track front axle so that helps some. Prolly wouldn't be much to write home about though! I know it'll get the trailer tires backing and dragging

I doubt that a short bed F-350 turns as short as an F-450. I'm on my third F-450 pickup and I've been very satisfied in how it handles a load.

My '17 has been sitting at a rail yard 100 miles away for nearly two weeks. Waiting (im)patiently for it to show up at my dealer. Hopefully this week is the week!
