Can you post a picture? Are you sure its a male thread and not a short nipple?
What size is the male thread?
I believe this current problem (bad oil leak at one valve-coupler interface) is a repeat performance of a problem I had years ago... a bad o-ring. I am half going by memory/external inspection and half by the Mahindra/KMW parts diagram which shows elimination of the valve-to-coupler adapter on the last iteration of my ML112 loader. The value port size is SAE #6. The machine is not here at the moment so I can't snap a photo.

The thing is that I'd like a couple spare couplers as the machine is getting old and the couplers are starting to show signs of wear. I think that all will be well again for now once I change out the o-ring under the coupler and replace the internal o-ring and Teflon back-up ring too... but I won't be certain about that until tomorrow or Monday.

Do you take the loader off and on a lot? Mine has been off one time, last weekend to replace a head gasket. I checked my couplers, couldn't spot a size on the female end. The male end was stamped NPT 3.

I almost never take the FEL off as I am using it constantly. :) Again, I should stress that I think (hope) I'll be back in business with just a little nuisance o-ring maintenance tomorrow or Monday. The spares are something I'd like to have here anyway... even if this latest event turns out to be a simple repeat of the prior o-ring leakage issue.

That should be a stock item for KMW, I'm sure it isn't used exclusively for the ML112.

No, it isn't. My old ones have a different finish (kind of a gold-ish tint vs. silver) but the new ones on at least some of the current Mahindra FELs I've seen at dealerships are apparently the same type (male threaded o-ring connection) and brand ("Made in Italy" stamped on them same as mine).

Again, next time I find myself at a Mahindra dealership, I'll try ordering them based on a current production FEL and maybe I'll have more luck than asking about parts for a long-discontinued product. :)

Did you try the part lookup yourself? I went through the New England tractor page, it is the only Mahindra parts lookup that I have been able to lookup online.

Go to this page: http://parts.mahindrausa.com/dealerview/Home.aspx
Then do a "Model Search" for ML112. You can also use NEW ENGLAND TRACTOR a division of Johnson Automotive Inc. and then click parts catalog.

It has five different versions of the valve system and parts, depending on serial number of our loader.

Ahhh! :) Thank you very much Jeremy! It's been a while! :D

Looks like there is a Faster dealer not too far away from me although the male thread female couplings would be a special order.

For the record, I changed out all four coupler-to-valve o-rings and the leakage decreased about 97% (from constant flow to droplets), but it is still a problem and the poor old Mahindra's floor mat is practically ruined already. Hope I can find a replacement. I also replaced one internal o-ring & Teflon back-up in what was originally the suspect coupling but it didn't help. :confused3:

Next step? I'm not sure. With my aging eyes, it's not easy to see exactly where the remaining leakage is still coming from. :( Most of the leakage occurs while I am working the machine, not while the machine is parked where I could possibly see the source better.

At least I am pretty sure that the valve itself isn't cracked or damaged. That was a key concern of mine. I'll be able to take another look at it later this week and see what I can see.

All correct... and for the record, mine is the newest (i.e., last version that was manufactured) ML112 loader. :)

The first link doesn't work for me but I had done exactly as you described at that website several times. Unfortunately, the coupler in question comes up as unavailable when you try to order it.

sometimes with the female side if the oring dryrotted its easy to get a piece still left in the grove when you install the new one... causing a very small leak
